CNN) -- Serena Cervantes has been struggling to earn her bachelor's degree for seven years. With tuition for two courses at her California university demanding $2,300, it's not the workload that has her putting off the final class she needs to graduate in May. Money is tight. The 25-year-old has worked as a maid and retail clerk to make ends meet, but she says that dating the men she encounters on Sugardaddie.com has proved to be a more lucrative endeavor. 'Sugar daddy' helped pay for college "I've had a hard time finding jobs and keeping jobs," she said. "I thought this would be a good way for me to have a relationship with someone and also make it, as these sites all say, mutually beneficial." read the rest............. http://www.cnn.com/2013/02/26/living/students-sugar-daddy-relationships/index.html?hpt=hp_bn11
Yes, it's just wrapped in a prettier package. Sex + money = prostitution. Her reason for doing it doesn't change what it is. 3,000/mo though...pretty enticing to a youngin.
Like the article mentioned...it's hard to prosecute because these agreements masquerade as 'relationships'. I doubt this girl is publicly admitting to having sex for money (maybe I read the article too quickly?). I think she said it was 'on the table', but not that she'd specifically done it.
On Tyra Banks' show, she had on a few sugarbabies and their sugardaddies. These young women said that they get money and they also travel the world being arm candy to these men. When the question of sex came up, the women either danced around the answer or admitted nothing. The sugardaddies admitted nothing as well. The audience, like myself had the same sentiment; bullshit.
