Women: How do you all feel about guys with 'dry' humor?

I was thinking about this and how I interact with women. If women don't get my dry/witty humor it puts me off. Or if they try to counter it with obnoxious sarcasm. Not sure why.

I've been thinking with some of my encounters with women and I generally feel if they get my dry humor then they are cool and get me. They're good in my book.

It can sometimes come off as sarcastic or even awkward sometimes (intentionally) but I think I do it to make fun of things. I don't know why lol. I've met some girls that absolutely HATED me for my personality and how I acted. Only thing I could trace it back to is my dry humor and maybe it went over someone's head or I might have accidentally offended someone.

I saw this on Yahoo! Answers:

"It usually means that you use sarcasm and wit rather than out and out hilarity. You are not someone who is goofy or playful in your humor, you are quite calculated and sharp. You probably have the ability to cut something into pieces with just one or two carefully constructed words that will make people laugh".

So ladies, what do you all think of someone like me that employs mostly dry humor? Sarcastic asshole, or witty gentleman? :)

You may think your witty whereas someone else maythink your painfully unfunny. Happens to me all the time.

Used correctly, a sarcastic wit can be quite the panty dropper.

I love a witty man over a serious man. Any day of the week. And I dislike a man who can't take a joke. Really love a man than can dish it and take it all in good fun. Very sexy to me.

Notice you are getting replies from the Aussies, it's cos we love that. We are more dry and sarcastic and less overt than Americans.

Unless you are directing the sarcasm at the woman herself and she doesn't get you yet..

I figured as such. Where's curleyblonde!

I got a friend that lived in the UK for 8 years or so. None of my humor gets past her.

One of my buddies doesn't know when I'm joking or serious which makes us both laugh.

Haha yep... We inherited parts of it from the pins.

You may find solace in a Canadian woman also.

Its one of the many reasons why I don't think I could live in the USA, my sense of humour is extremely dry and twisted even perhaps by British standards. I doubt people would get me on the other side of the pond.

It's okay, my good man. I use dry, twisted humor around here, and people still don't get me at all.

Ah well. We live in hope.

I don't have twisted humor. My dry humor is moreso clever and witty rather than overtly sarcastic. My uncle tells me I don't have any humor and it's very dry, but I get him to laugh sometimes :)

I'm born and raised on dry humor.
Like sarcasm, it takes intelligence to appreciate. Lol.

Obviously, I am just tremendously intelligent!
