yep, Im reducing my meat intake and it feels good. I just need food that will give the protein meat does.

I disagree. I've seen animals slaughtered (even slaughtered some myself...chickens, no mammals) and it is possible. Of course we're talking about killing something, so there is always going to be some pain and distress, but making it as quick and clean as you can is the best you can do.

I am envious of you and my sister. She is vegan, I think. Well I know she does not eat eggs or milk...anyway...I find when I don't eat flesh for a bit, I feel lighter, more alert, but hungrier..when I eat flesh, I feel fuller but sluggish. Ive tried just fish...but I tire of it quickly. Morally I cry that I can't kick the flesh habit...I make a lot of promises to God that I break...I do make sure to mostly buy from Whole Foods where all is humanely raised and killed. I wish every day I could give it up forever. :(

It's a big move to go veggie as you have to change everything, from your thinking to your food prep, but like anything you give up, it gets easier the longer you do it.
Having some food education will be able to combat the empty feeling...you'd be surprised how grains and tofu can be filling used correctly. Educating people about food and health is why in doing my bachelors in health science and why I've started my own business in food so I can show people that you can actually enjoy a meal without meat and feel content.

Thanks Tarsh...like you say, if I can find the correct food balance, I may be able to do it.

Good post gl, I may do the same when I am 66 years old.

I like my poultry, fish, and occasional steak, supports my workouts, but good luck though.
