Lol my eyes did some major rolling when I saw this thread

 

So did mine, my friend. So did mine.

Not as much as they rolled at another thread that's going strong on here. If someone were to stumble in here from another planet, they'd think that all women were helpless, stupid, money-grubbing, defenseless, fat, manipulative, weak, and generally useless.

 

A few statements before my eyes join yours in rolling:
1) If a woman is helpless and stupid, etc, how is she simultaneously money-grubbing (which requires some baseline awareness of the value of things) and manipulative (no mean feat for a weak mind)

2) Arming old people is even more likely to get them killed, as their reflexes and response time are no match for a young perpetrator, which makes them more likely to have the weapon taken from them and used to further brutalize them.

3) I am nauseated by crime against the defenseless, but the solution is less poverty, effective enforcement of the laws already on the books, and fewer weapons in the society in general.

All great points you should bring up with the people who continue to perpetuate that crap.

I think it was an attempt to start an arguement. There is no point to threads like this, because neither side will agree (or change their minds), nor will most listen to each other.

Newbie trying to start shit is always fishy.
