Just when we thought it wouldn't happen again, it is flooding here in not so 'Sunny Queensland'. Just so devastating,,,, some have just recovered from floods in 2011 and now it floods again. My poor love, I don't know how you do it....must be Mother Nature getting back at all you qlders for always having perfect weather the rest of the year. That being said, we've got the bush fires down here and there are mornings I awake to the smoke hazy sky and the smell. Our land isn't for the lighthearted
From one extreme to the next. But I have to agree with you in general we have great weather all year round,,,,, well now I have to say every other year. lol. You stay safe too Tarshi.
I don't understand why tourists still go and check out a beach despite the weather warnings and flood alerts.
Just the sound of the fire scares me, and what on earth is that man thinking trying to save his home with a hose?
Unfortunately not many know that flames are not the only thing that will kill you in a bush fire. Fire scares me in general Tarshi, it is so unpredictable.
Oh no doubt. Just so crazy that at one point of a country it's flooding and the other end it's burning
Strong winds and flooding rains here in NSW too. We're lucky, in my area, to have gotten away with light flooding.
Well, that sounds like California to be honest. Add mudslides and earthquakes....... Why do I live here again? Seriously, I don't mean to minimilize what is going on there. The futureland has had its serious nature disasters lately! Love and prayers!
We're usually lucky in that we don't have much in the way of natural disasters, but when they hit us...they hit us hard. I was just sitting here typing this when I heard the LOUDEST bang! Our neighbours fence was just destroyed by the wind! Holy geebuz, it scared the crap out of me. But, on the upside...I saw a lovely big green tree frog, enjoying the wet, when I went out to help secure the bits of fence left lying around.
Wow that is too close to home, pun intended. I just caught someone doing donuts in a nearby carpark, using the flood puddles to create waves. Some people just do the most rediculously dangerous things for cheap thrills. The next 6 hours are suppose to be the wildest in regards to the floods rising here in Brissy.
My area is reasonably ok, just a whole lot of trees uprooted, homes without power and plenty of flooded roads but atleast our homes are not under water like poor Bundaberg. How are things for you Sin? I thought I heard on the news that the rains were headed your way.
Yesterday it was blue skies and major heat, this morning the skies are dark like it's going to storm. Not sure if we're getting major rain or not. I'll let you know.
