Yeah, the Falcons need to lock it up for next week.

Though I kinda want to see the 49ers beat them.

I hate the Patriots so much. I hope the Ravens destroy them next week.

Oh I didn't forget about LT. He was my favorite player growing up before he retired in ‘93 and then Ray Lewis stepped onto the field in ‘96. I will argue that LT is the greatest pass-rusher of all-time because that was his primary position as the outside rusher in the 3-4.

Ray Lewis to me is an all-around linebacker who played in the 3-4, 4-3, as well as the 46 Defense under Rex Ryan and was dominant in every scheme.

I would build an entire franchise around either one of these guys and I’d be guaranteed at least one Vince Lombardi trophy so it’s a win-win either way.

The more I read about this guy, the more excited I get about the Bears' prospects next year.

He's a QB guru and I've read that he's very honest with the players which is what our prima donna QB named Cutler needs. Hopefully he can get our offense back on track and I hope and pray they keep the DC otherwise we will be screwed. And we already have a new OC.

    I'm excited!!

A friend of mine doesn't like the hire because he's been out of the NFL for 8 years. But I told him that he's been a consultant with the Saints and he's coached QBs for their drafts and coached Cutler and Campbell. So he hasn't been "out" of the NFL for that long.

And as I also told him, I'm putting faith in our GM who got us Brandon Marshall last year. He took his time, interviewed a bunch of people and was obviously looking for someone very specific. I have a feeling this is going to be a very good hire.

Yeah, this might actually be a good hire. I've known about Marc Trestman for almost as long as I’ve been watching football. Believe it or not one of his first QB/pupils at the NFL level was a guy named Bernie Kosar who was the QB of the Cleveland Browns at the time. Trestman never really got his shot at a head coaching job for reasons unknown, but he has always been known around pro football as a stickler for detail on offense who can draw up the most amazing gameplan.

He’s from the west coast offense tree having spent some time with the 49ers so this is more than ideal for your prima donna QB named Cutler because that’s the very first system he was in when the Broncos drafted him back in 2006. Also I hear the Bears will keep Rod Marinelli and the entire defensive coaching staff in tact while bringing in Aaron Kromer from the Saints to become the OC and offensive line coach.

If Trestman can at least somehow turn J’Marcus Webb into a pro-bowl left tackle then he should get coach of the year next season. lol

If he can turn anyone on our Offensive Line into a Pro-Bowl caliber player, I'll bow down and kiss the man's feet!!

As for Marinelli, I'm told by someone who watched the press conference that Marinelli decided to move on. :smt107

What this means for Urlacher, Briggs, and Tillman remains to be seen. Hopefully the Bears get a great DC (they should bring back Lovie!!) and these amazing defensive players will have incentive to stay.

    I'm getting nervous now!!

If the Falcons fall apart in the second half like they did against the Seahawks, the 49ers will run ALL over them.

I hated the 49ers, but after seeing them play against the Packers, I have to say, Colin Kaepernick is making me a 49ers fan.

Want the Ravens so bad and found a Bar in Boston for Ravens fans. I hate the Pats especially TB, if the pats win, will not watch the Super Bowl as I hate Atlanta and San Fran too.

I have San Francisco winning it all; I don't think the 49ers have ever lost a Super Bowl either...

I run a confidence pool at work and every year we do a playoff pool. It's $20 to enter for 6 people and we each pick one NFC team and one AFC team.

I picked Minnesota (which I knew was a loser) and Baltimore (which I assumed if they got past the first round, they'd lose to Denver).

Imagine my surprise today to see Baltimore take down the team I hate more than the Packers.

I love it! I never thought I'd still be in the running to win the pot.

    Go RAVENS!!

I told my friend (who has SF) that Baltimore would win today because they're on a mission from God.

I hope they go all the way! :smt023
