All the people who die in speeding accidents are usually going over 55 miles an hour. No cars that do more than 60. Only cop cars should be able to do 100 or more. Also since the legal limit for alcohol is .08 no one should be allowed more than two drinks at a bar and should have to take a breathalizer before entering.

I think hes from Putnam county. Hes been on the news quite a lot lately. He makes a great point too but its lost on people so gripped by fear that dont take those things into consideration. They want a security blanket even if its full of holes.

Yes, I think that's it, and him.

You know, earlier I watched 60 Minutes's interview with Supreme Court Justice, Sonia Sotomayor....
and she said she worked for the DA's office and after a while had to leave it. She said not until working there did she realize that there are truly evil people in this world. It was getting to her because she was losing faith in humanity. She reiterated that pure evil humans do exist.

People don't realize that not everyone is like you, aka normal. The Taliban will behead you for singing and dancing at a party, the monster in Sandyhook will point a gun at a terrified kids and shoot them over and over. The bastard in CO will dress in costume and open fire on movie watchers and set booby traps for cops. They aren't listening to your kombeya speeches of "spare me, I'm a peaceful person" logic. Evil has no conscious. Sorry, but I'm never going to bring the V sign to their gunfight.

    Drink, drive, bloody idiot :drinkers:

Wouldn't say we are stabbing and bashing all the time. That really became a big thing when smoking was banned in clubs and you had fellas locked out of clubs and off their face. Disaster written all over it.

    Ha, very true, Beasty! ^

That makes sense. That happened a tad here, but more with the people walking by trying to get past.
I do remember in Oz though, there was lots of fists and beer-bottle head smashing inside the clubs too. And knives to Aussies are what guns are to the Yanks.

lol. the car thing again. thats all you have again. over and over.

what reason is the car made for ? ......travel.

a car have an extreme amount of regulations and restrictions.

saftey belts and speed limits. if you drive drunk..... fines. licenses and MUST have insurance or you cant drive and if you are caught they will take your car away.

cars arent part of the constitution.

so to compare a car to a gun is like comparing an animal to veggies. damn

the intent of a gun is to kill.....

want to add regulations to track the sale of a gun and you are called a tyrant. wow

so is a 100 round clip is a-ok fuck the 30 round shit. 100 rounds more opportunity for loughner to kill more people. he ripped off 30 in 15 seconds. hell if he had 100 his opportunity would have been better.

gabby gifford and her hubby are NRA members ........ I wonder what they would say about an 100 round clip and loughner.

so now we have facts.... oh wait...I have facts.

30 rounds 15 seconds. hhhmmm if we reduced it to 10 round clips then maybe the situation would last 5 to 6 seconds (10/30 rounds = 1/3 rounds . then 1/3 of time to 5 seconds) and less people would have gotten hurt maybe a 1/3 of a hit rate .....

oh wait the gun rights advocates want loughner to have a better opportunity lets give him back his 30 rounds and his 15 seconds.

oh fuck it .... 2nd amendments lets give the fucker 100 rounds,. lets see.....

45 seconds of hell.....could have killed gifford....he already killed a nine year old and five other people ...soooooo the possible kills would have been maybe 15.
wounded instead of 13....maybe 39. good good. all in the name of feeling warm and fuzzy inside for the gun advocates and their logical comparisons to cars.

done and done. loughner u the man

You would have been one helluva White segregationist in the South during the 1950s, Beasty.

If you think a law is wrong, it's your responsibility to speak out against it.
It's the same argument in favor of nuclear disarmament. Proliferating more nukes worldwide doesn't make any of us safer, because eventually bad actors will get their hands on nukes too.

Good try, remember Martin Luther Kings I have a dream speech in which he said "we are here today to cash a check" he was claiming our constitutional rights ALL of them. The Jim crow laws were unconstitutional and gun control was started out of racism in this country. Even today in NC you have to get a permit to purchase a gun. (A hold over from jim crow laws) That was designed so your local sheriffs office can descriminate against blacks. Similar laws for gun control was enacted throughout the south to deny blacks to protect themselves. Why else would MLK be denied a gun permit in his state. You and Good Love are the ones here now showing lack of appeciation for the struggles civil rights leaders have endured for our rights. Now you want to imply what kind of white person or uncle tom I would have been in the 50's? GTFO First of all this is 2013 and a am black and unlike you I appreciate ALL the struggles of civil rights leaders and refuse to let any of them go in vain.

Now this AB guy wants to disarm our country:smt095

Nuclear proliferation is about other countries getting nukes, show me one person that wants that to happen! You brought this up because you want America to get rid of our nukes. Lets face it if someone off the street were to slap you, you would let them do it until they got tired. MLK took an non violent approach, but he knew there comes a time when you have to protect yourself, thats why he applied for a gun permit. You on the other hand:shock:

No one called you an Uncle Tom or implied you had no appreciation for the Civil Rights struggle.

When you say to someone if they don't like the laws as they are, they should leave the country, that 'love it or leave it' attitude was the mindset of many segregationists towards the North.

Just because you disagree with a law(s) or a part of the Constitution doesn't make you un-American.

Stop putting words in people's mouths.
