The fact that you cant buy a anti-aircraft missle at the local gun store, is because the government knows their are limits to the weapons that a average person can be trusted with. And it is becoming clear that the limits needs to be adjusted, so that weapons meant for the battlefield aren't on the shelf at Wal-Mart.

C'mon man, of course there will always be murder in this world, but it is disingenuous to emply that limiting the access to assault weapons won't reduce mass killing. Most of the recent mass shooting have been with legally purchased weapons. Every(non-warring) country that has enacted bans and/or strict regulations on assault weapons have seen their numbers of mass killings dwindle.

Let's not turn this into a race thing, please?

If a school full of minority kids was broken into and shot up by a madman who killed 20 minority children, the same people would be up in "arms" about gun control.

The reason there's less emphasis on the gang-related killings in cities like Chicago is because it happens on the street and only 1 maybe 2 innocent people are killed vs defenseless kids in a school with nowhere to go.

The gun control debate also happened with the CO shooting. It has nothing to do with race or where it happened and has everything to do with the situation - lots of people in an enclosed space who are defenseless against and at the mercy of a psychopath.

Also, gang-related shootings are sporadic where as the CO shooting and the CT shooting and the WI shooting killed/hurt many many people in a matter of minutes.

Those countries dont have the same issues we do thump. Like I said before when dies banning anything work to limit or reduce things in America? Drugs are rampant and are banned. Guns are banned in Chicago and its a war zone

THere's a reason why shotguns aren't standard issue in the military and PDs.:smt119

A semiautomatic rifle is a more efficient killing weapon for mass kills than a shotgun. But hey I'm just a dumb non gun owning balloon head.

VP Joe Biden was just appointed by President Obama to head a Gun Control Task Force.

Now he can tell the panel how he really feels, like he did here...

    [HDYT]ZXAv4O5NC8w[/HDYT]

Will Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid also speak to the panel what he thinks, like he did here?

    [HDYT]UTcY8OcT_0E[/HDYT]

Anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein here justifying her concealed gun she once carried.
I'm sure she will want to address the panel, too...

Clearly we see they support the 2nd Amendment.

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A man fatally shot a woman decorating for a children's Christmas party at a tiny church hall and killed two men elsewhere in a rural township on Friday before he was shot dead in a gunfight with state troopers.

    ============================================
So, to the list of places that need armed guards -- schools, malls, sikh temple, airports, night clubs, beauty salons, Postal service, beer factory, day care center & movie theaters -- now we must add churches and every damn road in the country. What used to be isolated incidents are becoming too commonplace.
Well we ALMOST made it one week without a multiple murder. Unfreaking believable. God Help America.

The U.S. has 5% of the world's population and 50% of the world's privately owned firearms.

Something is out of balance in this country, like really.
Our values and priorities as a nation in some aspects are completely upside down.

    Terrible news. :(
(One week without? In America? Doubt it. Read the news. God needs to also help others murdered this week by stabbing, beatings and drunk-drivers.)

The two men killed: both male victims were the shooter’s neighbors in the tiny village...one victim's sister said the 2 men always felt uneasy around him.

Common denominator? Roll it back...murderous rage, deranged/mental illness, criminal mind. Those are the aggravates. Guns, knives, bats, bombs, vehicles - weapons et al, are the mitigators.

You're not the only one. I put off getting a smaller one for concealment and getting my license to carry.
Thought I was one and done. Screw it, to many mentally unstable nutso's out here either off their psych meds or on too damn many.

*On the actual day of the Sandy Hook shootings, gun sales in CT exploded.

..."I was just on the phone with one of my vendors. They're selling out of everything including high capacity magazines. I talked to a company that got 47,000 AR magazines and within an hour they were sold out." Said Williams..:)smt107)
At Frontier, background checks are backlogged and people are waiting half an hour instead of 5 minutes. Many people are signing up for a concealed weapon permit and mandatory classes for the permit are full through January. Due to the mass interest in firearms...

And since then, every day they have soared....

Shotguns are far more effective in trenchwarfare than any other gun and the military uses them accordingly, just like they did in ww2. Rifles are more accurate and are better for distance shots. That is the only advantage they have. In a typical war situation soldiers often need to take down enemy troops beyond 50 yards that is why they use rifles more often. In day to day civilian life most conflicts take place within 25 yards, in such case a shotgun is much more deadly. The smallest projectile from a 12 guage is at least 427 grains while the projectile from your m 15 is only 62 grains. Anybody that knows anything about a shotgun would much rather get shot at by the m 15. You really are clueless about guns.

Most likely because he has spent a large majority of time getting clues about how not to murder people.

I think he generally has knowledge, but on this subject he does not, but good job at glorifying ignorance.
