Sweden was Legendary

Where on earth did you hear that? It doesn't even make any sense. As opposed to other countries that like disrespectful, sloppy dressed, uneducated men? How is preferring respectful, well dressed men being very particular?

I am assuming that with 'meeting strangers' you mean meeting men romantically?
If you mean that Swedes are more picky in terms of meeting men than other countries, then the answer is no. Why do you ask? Are you going there?

 

I don't believe it myself since I had been there several times over the years. I know current events but,I had not met a Swedish woman who knows a lot on say Swedish politics or news. Also as I said in past thread the Swedish women are not like the ones who appeared in those old Swedish movies like I'm Curious Yellow etc. I had not seen it myself and if I did I only wanted to see the clip on Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.

 

I read about it in either Traveler or Men's Journal. What I meant was that Swedish people do not take to a first time visitor right away. That they like the latest styles and like to keep up on current events. In terms of meeting people, it applies to both sexes. Romantic encounters are up to the individuals involved. Isn't it common sense to be respectful in one's country as well as their own? And to look good?

 

I had seen I am Curious Yellow and Blue. The Martin Luther King interview clip was there in Yellow but Vilgot Sjoman, (who appears in both films) was merely asking questions to the camera and Martin Luther King answered questions from another interviewer. It was clever editing. And the street interviews about him were real. I Am Curious Yellow was also a case in the U.S. Supreme Court relating to the code of decency in films. It was an art film with nudity and sex. The film won with the Supreme Court. It is worth watching.

 

The only two Swedes I'm aware of here at the forum are FlyingGeek and Sweden, who are both quite stunning. Are there any other stunning Swedes on here? Come on ladies, show yourself!

Your second sentence is pretty much how it works in every country, so it makes no sense, which you should know, especially since you wrote what you write in the last sentence. Its contradictory and moot.

Are northerners more reserved than southerners in Europe? Yes, but it has nothing to do with what you asked. They just take a little longer to loosen up. Just go there if that is your plan don't build hinders to climb before you even get there. Making friends in foreign countries is no different than to make friends in your own country basically. Same basic requirements are needed.

Also, curious yellow is a movie from an entire different era, has nothing to do with today society in Sweden so don't get your hours up giggle. If you get a chance, go. But for the love of g-d, do it in the summer of you freeze your nads of f.

Both films are in The Criterion Collection. If a film is there, it has to be great. I saw I Am Curious Yellow & Blue in the library and checked them out there. Check your local library first. It will save you money.

 

I will indeed. When I was in London there was a book about those Swedish sexexploitation flicks. I did not know a lot of those flicks were made in Sweden.

 

I am afraid that both I Am Curious Yellow and Blue are no longer available through the Criterion Collection. But they are floating around somewhere on most video websites.

 

The French, Italians, Brazilians, Germans, Japanese(check out Seijun Suzuki films) and even the Polish have films(check out Roman Polanski's first film Knife In The Water). You have a lot to look at there.

 

I will going to find I'm Curious Yellow and as for the other nationality flick I just want the ones where say the Polish woman fell in love with a Black man.

 

In I Am Curious Blue, there was an interracial scene. You have to check Yellow and Blue out.
