And again...I ask you...other than banning the further sales of assault weapons..who is calling for a complete ban on all guns?

The point is the thought process.

What to do about all the millions of guns in circulation?

    Well...

    As I've said before..

Perhaps making it illegal to own ANY gun in the United States if you don't register is and pay taxes and insurances on said gun like you do on cars..

It get confiscated if its found without proper licensing and until its resold under the above conditions, it stays out of circulation.

And the people found in violation of such laws pay heavy fines, lawsuits and jail time.

Instead of saying..well it's out there what the fuck do we do about it now? Why can't we say let's find a way to deal with this so that people can own guns and people can stay alive at the same time.

Are their responsible gun owners in the untied states? Certainly. I happen to be related to quite a few of them.

Are there people who will violate law regardless of whether we have them?
    No...ya think?

And why, given that is a fact of life, can we not find a way to hold them accountable?

Why can we not fine a way..collectively to change the mentality of..there's guns and people will die..*shrugs*

What Australia has done may not work completely in this country.
But at least they did something instead of letting someone's right to own something superceed someone else's right to actually, oh, I don't know...
    Live?

First off please stop acting like there arent laws and regulations on guns already. This idea that anyone can get them legallt if they feel like it is lying.
Second why do we need taxes and insurances on guns? All it does is create another greedy industry that serves no real purpose. Legal gun owners should have to register their guns for acvountability but all extra fines and taxes does is reduce the amount of legal gun owners not gun owners in general.
And my right to own guns does far less human damage than your right to drink coffee and use an iphone. If you want to compare body counts you wont have a leg to stand on.
I dont like seeing people get needlessly hurt either but the measures youve described wont reduce it

My choice to drink coffee and use an iphone is a CHOICE that I make knowing the consequences of such.

What choice does anyone have in getting shot by a gun weilding maniac on the lose?

The measures being called for wouldn't stop the problem all together now would it?
    But it would reduce it.

I suppose since seatbelts and road safety rules don't stop the issue of being killed in an auto accident we should call it a wash and repeal that as well then, no?
But it reduces the possibilty of it happening? Would you at least agree on that?
Or are you seriously going to sit there and deny that is the case?

Youre choice to buy coffee and iphones adds to the brutality of millions per year. Look it up.
Seat belts reduce injuries but this is an apples and oranges comparison because the problem with firearm homicide isnt people who legally own guns going arou d killing people by the thousands not even the hundreds. The overwhelming cause are people with illegal guns not legal ones. Are you solution does is limit legal gun owners not the real problem

    LOL. really?

this is the kind of shit you guys want. give fools a gun and they become dirty harry.

that is what the guns control is about. also maybe just maybe people need to get gun banned because look at how you act when you get your rights. your rights to own a gun supercede people rights to live?

We could easily buy back at least half the guns on the street. Tracking guns at the border is way easier than tracking illegal drugs because we know who's making the guns and how they're being sold. Gun sales along the border are being sold in the U.S. to Mexi gangs who bring them into the country. It's not Mexican gun shops selling guns to U.S. citizens.

If they banned guns yoy think bangers are gonna say oh well or just get them else where. They have buy back prograns now and people still have guns.
And if we cant track the hundreds of thousands crossing the border you think we can track guns? Are you high

You track guns by having EVERYONE required to pass a background check in order to purchase them. Gangbangers are buying their guns for the most part from gun shops.

Guns sold in gun shops along the Texas and Arizona border with Mexico would go out of business.

If all cars have VIN numbers, why can't we microchip firearms??
If people want guns to be traceable, there are ways to do it. We have the technology.

We can track every GD cell phone with GPS and satellite technology, but guns are too difficult to control??? That's a cop out.:smt106

again if they register the guns and ban assault rifles....the average pookie will definitely have to put up some cash. again after retail purchases are 5 times higher. yoiu think pookie is gonna shell out 10,000 on a basic semi automatic AR

exactly. registering every gun sold will slow some shit down. bro's dopnt want to hear that shit.

Do you, TDK and petty, need an AR with 100 round clips? mind you these are military use weapons

do you think a law biding citizen need a an AR with 100 round clips? and why ?
