    there you go. now read.

also when it comes to the mentally ill.....why shouldnt their medical records come into play. you have to have your medical history to come up when you get a federal job and be in the military.

Well now, unless a person comes out the womb committing crime, er, we all are 'law-abiding' until we BREAK THE LAW! :smt108

Still not sure what your point is. This crazy killer wasn't allowed to have a gun by law.
Crime #1 - he stole a gun. Crime#2 - he committed murder. He didn't sound very law-abiding to me.

the elementary killing the GUNS was purchased legally by HIS MOM.

crime 2 - he purchased the gun legally and he had not committed a crime prior to that. they ran backround checks on him. all guns from the gabby gifford case to the theater case and the elementary case was purchased legally

you want to give ungodly military guns to civvies who have a buck and look like they maybe ok. tea party member would say some shit like that. he look like he is from kenya dont give him a gun.

love throwing cliches out like a tea party member or what seem like clever lines like cars kill people too...says rush

LOL. Please know that I shall enter your private home whenever I feel like it because one day you might harbor something illegal in it. Friendly warning brought to you by your anti-4th amendment advocates.

my point and like others ...would be.

why do you need a .50 cal sniper rifle and an Assualt rifle - bushmaster semi automatic?

no gun fight between a homeowner and a house burglar will last more than 30 seconds. if it does then he is not there for your TV. he is there because your name was written on a bullet and he was the author

    Estimated Death Tolls...

World War 1 = 65,000,000 (1914-1918, including Spanish flu deaths)

    World War 2 = 72,000,000 (1935-1945)

    Russian Civil War = 9,000,000 (1917-1921)

    Korean War = 4,500,00 (1950-1953)

    Vietnam War= 3,000,000 (1955-1975)

    Just to name a few
153.5 million thanks to not only guns and rifles, but more over technology and modern weaponry... These are the highest estimates

    But then again...

    Mongol Conquests= 60,000,000 (1207-1472)

    Yuan warfare= 30,000,000 (1340-1368)

    Qing Dynasty conquest=25,000,000 (1616-1662)

    Taiping Rebellion=100,000,00 (1851-1864)

    An Lushan Rebellion=36,000,000 (755-763)

251 million minus the modern weaponry (they attempted muskets in the Taiping Rebellion, but had major issues in supply lines with foreign trade, so mostly basic weapons).

At the end of the day, if people want to kill they will use whatever the hell is available. As I mentioned before, in regards to gun control, there isn't a simple answer whether you are for or against it.

Jeeze GL, we know all those facts. You forgot the VA tech killer, btw.

But what you're missing is, every single human is law-abiding until they break the law. What part aren't you getting. :smt017

You can't penalize law-abiding gun owners for those who decide to break the law. Your argument is silly. Enough.

    say it again

    drug control failed...miserably

    so will tougher gun control

but hey..use up more government resources to bring your asses to this utopia where firearms don't exist in the hands of law-abiding citizens, while everyone else still packs shit

what I am saying is this.......GUN restrictions. not taking your guns. why do you need an assault rifle? why do civvies need military weapons?

why do you need an 30, or 100 round clips for a 30 second fight? In each reported case it could have been worse if the gun didnt jam.

why do you need a .50 cal sniper rifle? do you know what the use of a sniper rifle is for ?

do you know the damage of a .50 cal can do?

penalizing? really ? explain? so were those kids rewarded or was the mothers anbd fathers? how about the dad who got popped by the son?

    Excellent post.

One thing on your last point - we already have gun control laws, some very strict. Repelling the 2nd Amendment is not happening, curtailing the 300 million in circulation isn't happening...so, monitoring mental heath and being aware of what our mostly young men are doing sounds plausible.

lets not stop there....hey take out the seat belts because people still die in car wrecks.

oh hey...let people drive drunk too. no need for road rules people still get into accidents

no it isnt but there are people who say give more guns and it will be a wash. they gave up the AR ban in the early 2000's and guess what ? the mass killing still went off.
