That means, according to Parker, that RGIII isn’t a real black person, and that he might not be “one of us” or “down for the cause.”

This shit makes me SOOOOO angry, and it stems from some okie doke negro talking shit because RGIII has a WW as his significant other.

There's nothing at all to suggest Robert is in denial of his Blackness, ashamed of it, or trying to run from it.

Why is it that other Black people are always trying to decide which of us has the right to call ourselves 'Black'?? Or act as if there's a Black test that must be passed before you're allowed in the club??

WTF does 'down with the cause' even mean??

RGIII is fighting to redefine who and what a BM is in today's society by being himself; supremely talented, confident yet not arrogant, no baby mommas, no arrest record, not hitting the clubs every night and getting in brushes with the law, and hard working.

This asshole should be fired from whatever job he has in the sports media.

People need to stop acting like if someone isn't EXACTLY Black like they are, somehow they aren't authentic or 'keeping it real'.

If this so called reporter was White and made these accusations, he'd be out of a job in 24 hours.

    Let's ask the appropriate question...

"Once again, so much for diversity of thought. RGIII is an independent thinker, and this looser tries to drag him back on the plantation."

    I remember this.
I agreed with the guy. This is the problem with our education system. They are far likely to give opportunities to people who have as oppose to the have nots.

    Like will smith said
When you don't have anything they ain't giving you anything but when you have something they will give you all.

Eh I disagree this same asshole probably adores former killers turned businessmen like 50 and Sug. Because real blackmen are suppose to be criminals. Smdh
One thing about this I like is fibally there is an open dialogue about this bullshit.

I think any decent man black, white, Hispanic, Asian, or whatever would agree that a good man is one who betters himself and enriches those around him, someone who doesn't try to pull everyone down into his racist self hating cesspool. I've never wished that anyone lose their job before, not even Imus but Parker is the personification of everything I can't stand about mainstream society. The only way to be black is to fit into this tiny box of fried chicken, molt liquor, and living in perpetual violence until you die or go to jail. Dude needs to go.

RG is hated by many blacks because he has two parents (both former military), well spoken, disciplined, educated, can think for himself, is a real man, and live his life with a woman he truly loves even IF SHE IS WHITE. I say fuck all those blacks who want to subjugate him, me, and you.

There is zero evidence that he is hated by many black folks for the reasons you gave. I live in the DC area and to be honest I thought there was going to be more negativity from certain black folks (particularly black women) because of the color of his fiance. While I have noticed some signs of subtle disapproval by a couple of black folks that I know, the vast majority of black people in the DC area, men and women, LOVE this guy. While I'm sure there are plenty of haters out there whom I am not around to view their personal dislike of him and while I'm sure that many black (and white) fans probably didn't even realize his girlfriend was white until this (non)controversy broke out, I can tell you without hesitation that RGIII is king of that city right now.

    Straight up truth.

Why don't this dude stop jocking RGIII and let him live his fucking life as he sees fit.

This shit isn't only crabs in a barrel, its worms, fleas and shit as well in the barrel.

He's even talking about dudes braids, W.T.F. lots of black men have braids that don't mean shit about who they are as a person.

This cat is just stereotyping like any ignorant fool in society who sees a black man and makes assumptions about what he should be like based on appearance over substance.

Not only is Rob Parker wrong in his thinking about RG3, his quote about Tiger above is dead wrong as well, Tiger stated that he did not want to be called "just Black", that he embraces all of his ethinic backgrounds.

This "real brother vs. cornball brother" nonsense hits very close to home for me and I imagine a lot of other members on this forum who have been called 'oreo's", and worse all of our lives.

    pretty much

i still get the 'you're not really black' jokes at work, because i flirt with WW and have expressed dating interests in them in the past..i usually just remind them that their oh-so beloved president is mixed, and that his white mom played a serious role in his life

i dont mind tho..i have those types of relationships with people, where we discuss race and kid around and stuff

i also get the 'you're the whitest black guy i've known' sometimes from ww

usually happens once they find out i listen to the same radio stations as they do
