I think his only link to the entertainment industry may be his suit against Usher in 04. I think he ended up being charged (?).
His wrap sheet all looks like small time stuff so given this clear execution style murder makes you wonder, what the hell? And in the middle of the day in mid-town? That is an extra wtf.

A person murdered should have no gender or racial qualification, but it is a descriptive.

No one is suggesting his death is more or less significant because of his race.
It's obvious it was a targeted killing, a hit.
I'm curious what kind of shit he was into to get gunned down like that out in public.

My point is more towards me rasta and his need to point out his skin colour, the news headlines did not read "black man" it read "man". Rasta made a point to point out the mans colour...should be grateful it's not from boss up I guess

Sad for his family. :( Can't imagine why you would go through law school and be into crime at the same time.

i can, some people goto court so much that if they were a lawyer they would be their own employer. plus, as a lawyer you could offer your services to people who can put hits on on you.

In America...race is everything. I specifically referred to his race in my thread title cause I wanted everyone to know it was a Black man who was gunned down in broad daylight in NYC. I also put in the thread title that he was a law student from L.A.

BTW, there was a shooting at a mall near Portland, Oregon yesterday, which left 3 people dead (incl gunman). I don't know the race of the gunman or those killed...but, I know that Oregon is prolly 95% white...so, it's likely all of them were white. I could be wrong, however. But, I'm right more often than I'm wrong about these tragedies.

u didnt have to interject race into it because there was no need. BTW the mall shooting dude looked to be wasian or just asian. still no need to interject race. the fact we can look at the photo and figure out he is black.

bingo. why bring race into it at all? what's that got to do with the fact that he was gunned down by another man (whom i read was black).

If you read the New York Times, they have a large article about the murder. They even have the murder on video ( Remember, this IS New York, cameras everywhere since 9/11).

Very well planned and executed. They trailed him for 20 minutes, he turned and saw his killer up close but did not know him so he kept walking. The guy shot him once in the back of the head then walked to a car that was waiting for him.

This most definitely was not a random street crime.
