Korean pop star PSY -- who rose to fame through his YouTube record-breaking video "Gangnam Style" -- apologized Friday for anti-American lyrics he rapped back in 2004.

That performance resurfaced on CNN's iReport and then circulated widely online. It included lyrics calling for the death of American troops serving in Iraq, not long after news of the brutal slaying of a South Korean hostage by Iraqi insurgents -- an incident which sparked anti-American sentiment in South Korea.

In his apology, PSY said his performance had been emotionally charged and was a response to events in the war in Iraq.

    LOL!
Someone must have gotten pissed off that dude was blowing up too much and decided to rat on his ass.

Oh well, such is the fate of one hit wonders.
Shit was getting by now anyway.

What's ironic is today at the Army Navy game, he did a pre-recorded dance skit to his song with the Army and Navy cadets. Don't think the United States Military has caught wind of this "officially"...no way would they have highlighted him, particularly since Purple Heart Iraq and Afghanistan War vets were present and received recognition for their valor by top Military Brass today.

I don't think it will make any difference. I'm pretty sure that he's a one hit wonder for us westerners anyway. LOL He'll just disappear after everyone is over his song.

Its hard for Asian countries to have their artists crossover anyway. Doubt he was ever gonna have a career in the US anyway, especially since they cycle through artists like a slut during spring break.

We goof around and do his stoopid dance at work just for funzzies. But fuck Psy, he ain't sorry, he sorry the story came out but he ain't really sorry. If it was not for American GIs sacrificing their lives, he won't even have a country to begin with, ungrateful bastard.

Love this top comment..."Did he ever say anything bad about Islamic militants, or do they get a pass?"
