Considering that the majority of the guys who have been writing comics over the last twenty years or so don't seem to respect both the characters or their histories based on all of the retconning, resurrecting and rebooting that seems to go on nowadays in the comic industry, it's hard to get upset at movie directors not respecting the source material. Thanks in part to the success of life long comic fanboy turned movie writer/director & occasional professional comic book writer Kevin Smith, the majority of writers working in comics now are basically using writing comics as their stepping stones into becoming players in Hollywood. Mark Millar, the guy who did the original run of the Ultimates (aka Ultimate Avengers) is currently doing just that very thing due to his work on the Ultimates, Wanted & Kick-Ass, with the latter two of course having been turned into actual movies.

 

Wii: No More Heroes 2, Last Story, XenoBlade Chronicles, Arc Rise Fantasia

PS3: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale, Killzone 2, Killzone 3, Ratchet and Clank games, Uncharted series...

 

Mass efect 1 2 and 3. wonderful game. I can't wait for the next series from bioware.

 

Anyone here a fan of The Hellfire Club in X-Men? The two top villains are appropriately named Black King and White Queen. Sebastian Shaw is the Black King. And Emma Frost used to be the White Queen before she joined the x men.

 

Ummm...yeah. If Sebastian Shaw were a Black man then you could say they were appropriately named.

Any how who do you think should be in the movie?

Since most of you are probably black, You might have notice the vanilla in Avengers.

Is it racist for me to say I want John stewart? ok, I would be able to settle if I got guy gardner and batman slapped him around a bit but I don't think it is crazy to ask for token black man.

I mean I like cyborg but he is teen titan. I already know about the reboot.


How did you marvel heads like the diversity in Avengers?


Should they really start off big?






I would have gone with brainic but it could lead to the injustice league in the next movie.

 

Yes on John Stewart Green Lantern, but it's not going to happen since they've already done the Hal Jordan version big screen treatment. No on Darkseid in the first movie. Save him for a later sequel considering they're only tossing him out there because of Thanos' cameo in the Avengers and possible appearance in the sequel. Maybe start off with Despero (the current super powerful brutal version) maybe using versions of the Starro starfish entities under his control to enslave the human population under his rule. Then follow up with the Injustice League in a sequel.


They could have put War Machine in the Avengers, but of course no need for two Iron Men. The Falcon will be in Captain America 2 with early word he will be in the Avengers sequel as well. Would prefer they did a solid Black Panther intro movie and have him become a member but, oh well.

 

It was so surpriseing to not see one minority in that movie. Ususally they try at least on toekn person but nope.

 

No it isn't racist, diversity is important. I too want John Stewart as Green Lantern. Actually if they just copied the animated series lineup, that would be ok with me.

As for the big bad. I guess they figured why beat around the bush and go straight for the biggest bad ass in the DC universe. I would prefer the Injustice Gang.

And since Avengers 2 is going to feature Thanos it is going to seem really odd having the two comic super groups both fighting a very similar villain.

 

Ummm...... Sam Jack was the minority in that movie. He may not have been in a superhero costume but he played a big part in the film.

 

And the Rumor is that Falcon is going to join the team in Avengers 2

 

Yep. Based on the fact that the new Avengers cartoon they are stupidly producing to replace Avengers :Earth's Mightiest features the line up from the Avengers movie plus the Falcon and his being in Captain America 2, that is the early speculation. It would be stupid if they didn't put him in it, but I guess it's best to wait and see how he's portrayed in CA2 first to hope for that just yet.

 

I meant actually doing something. lol

 

My biggest pet peeve about the Nolan Batman Trilogy : That they mispronounced Ra's Al Ghul's name. They should have taken notes from the animated series.

I didn't like his "Batman" voice but other than that he did a decent job with the role.
