This is a thread that's the opposite of a similar thread: http://www.whitewomenblackmen.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22512 For me there is a short list, but right now all that comes to mind is: Pulp Fiction Titanic Crash The Longest Yard (remake) Iron Man 2 The Breakfast Club What's yours?
Don't like Pulp Fiction?!!!!! LOL Great idea for a thread. We'll all be at each other's throats about the choices. Hehehehehe! Movies I hate, that others loved... The Matrix movies (ESPECIALLY 2&3) The Star Wars movies Taxi Driver 2001: A space Odyssey Dune A beautiful mind A clockwork orange Fantasia (why my sister loves this movie, boggles my mind). Memento All the nightmare on elm street movies Superbad Saw 3 and up Marley & Me (this movie just rubbed me the wrong way, and I'm a real dog person too) Dream Girls Machine Gun Preacher A couple I just disliked, but didn't hate. Shawshank Redemption Inglorious Basterds (very disappointed in this movie because I'm a huge QT fan)
Awww...shit. I forgot to add that one to my list. I hated that stinker too. Although Billy Zane was kinda hot in it. But still...the only good part in that film was the guy falling into the propeller when it was sinking. LOL
Lol....that billy Zane had moment in the 90's I'm with you with shawshank...groanathon Those Star Wars movies from those annoying teddy bears to the 3 new ones, then fucking up the other two by "digitally enhancing" them Driving miss fucking senile Daisy should also be added to the list
I don't get why everyone else likes pulp fiction??!! I found it boring because it had a lot of long winded dialogue. I was also cheesed off by the part when Ving Rhames gets raped by the gay racists. They were shouting racial epithets at him, but then proceeded to molest him. That was both disgusting and confusing. And I was upset that Samuel L. Jackson didn't kill Tim Roth at the end. I wanted him to spare those younger guys in the beginning. But I can't believe you didn't like Matrix 1, Star Wars, the Freddy Kruger films, or Shawshank Redemption.
Agree here, when whats his face drowned at the end. I laughed out loud.. what a pathetic acting performance. I think I feel asleep on most of it tho. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Lol soooo agree. And that other movie...the dead people the kid kept seeing were the ghosts of the people in the cinema who died of boredom
Shawshank bored the crap outta me. I was probably expecting too much. The whole idea of that matrix movies makes me mad. My sister and I are in agreement that if someone "unplugged" us from our reality, to live in some shitty destroyed world, we'd murder the fuckers and plug ourselves back in. Star Wars is overrated bullshit, Kruger scares the shit outta me. Pulp Fiction, IMO, is one of the best written movies I've seen. I love it. I love that QT throws things in you wouldn't expect. Not a huge fan of him using the N-word all the time, but despite that...I think he's brilliant. Pulp Fiction was my first intro to him. He's a master of dialogue.
But the "long winded" dialogue in Pulp Fiction is is legendary!!!!!! I can cite the whole damn movie I think!!!! One of the nest scripts for that genre.... So you didnt like Reservoir Dogs either?? (another legendarly cult movie).
Shawshank, boring?! Really? I thought it had great plot, characters, great acting, and good ending. And the narration by Morgan Freeman is excellent. I think the whole point of the Matrix movies is to show us that what we think is reality, isn't reality, or that there is a deeper truth to it than we know. Although it's a fictional example. You might have to be a geek/nerd/dork to fully appreciate Star Wars, but the plot of Luke skywalker vs. his father Darth Vader is great. And it's even more interesting in the 2000 movies which show the upbringing of Darth Vader. I saw the Freddy Kruger films when I was 6 and yes it scared the shit outta me. But those are classic horror films that can't be imitated.
How so?? It made me sleepy. I didn't see Reservoir dogs and if it's like pulp fiction, I don't wanna. Oh, I just remembered another movie for me: Scarface
Star wars (all of them) Lord of the rings (all of them) There are probably more but i can't think of them right now.
No. That shit should have been left unrevealed, especially how & why Anakin Skywalker turn to the dark side. The Star Wars series lost all it's luster with Return of the Jedi once George Lucas decided Luke & Leia were brother & sister IMO. Not surprising though, since Star Wars was only conceived to actually be the one original movie with no way of anticipating or even expecting how huge it would become.
Co-signing these 2.Plus the Twilight Series.... I really don't get it. Same about Paranormal activity.Tried watching the first part 3 times and all 3 times it literally bored me to sleep. Not good or scary one little bit to me.
I liked that they revealed it. I love the story of Anakin and how he came to be Darth Vader, plus other characters like the younger Obi-wan and Jar Jar Binks, and Qui gon Jinn. But I agree that Luke and Leia shouldn't have been siblings. I would've liked to see those two together, rather than her and Harrison Ford. Or maybe an IR pairing of her and Billy Dee in episode 6.
