It's true, how much does a waitress get an hour there? like $6?? I get $21 an hour during the week and $26 an hour on weekends. Big difference.

I'm not saying you are. I'm pointing to the fact that we are richer and still manage to pay lower to our people than you guys do to yours.

I tried researching it and still couldn't find out why despite your curency being more expensive.
It just shows that we may need a labour party and that the unions didn't finish the job.

It's not that the repubs don't understand the concept of having a job that actually makes end meet its that they don't give a fuck if you do or don't.
The democrats at least understand and care that the backbone of America makes America strong if its strong.

The things they (the republicans bitch about) are the exact things their hero Reagan did in the 80s. They don't like it now because the guy who wants to see it done isn't of their party lines and isn't white.

I saw that on Facebook. I read the comments section and there was no middle ground. At all.
Either people were pissed or they said that the people were living beyond their means. If you have to work 70+ hours a week then you don't need a smart phone they said.
Ok...but the point is you shouldn't have to work 70+ hours to afford housing.
They seem to miss that.

If you are poor then live like you are they say. These are the very same people who rant and rave about how the poor leach off the system. Yet, nothing is ever said regarding corporate welfare which is much more detrimental and benefits only a select few.
I'd much rather my tax money go to feeding a hungry child or providing housing assistance to a person whose struggling than it going to line some CEOs already fat pocket while the lowly workers have to pay double for that.

And if you are going to live in the 2012 era..there are some things you need to have. Maybe not a smart phone but a mobile of some sort. Have you seen the availability of pay phones lately?

So people can reserve their judgement.
