That's not true. None of Will Smith films fail. His movie "I am Legend" (which wasn't even popularised much) made more money than Thor or Superman films.

I think it is more of a racial issue. The same way how some white American men, wanted to start their own basket ball league, a few years back; or how, at first MTV didn't want Micheal Jackson to be on their channel.

Not every is about business. Sometimes it is personal.

 

Taye Diggs isn't event that good. Idris is a much better option. He isn't American born. Which is a plus. As a lot of Americans think black people come in two forms. American or straight from Africa.

The way he worded it "he hasn't done anything in American Cinema" came across to me as anything that the average non black American would recognize him in. Dude has a habit of putting up posts of this nature. He did the same thing quite awhile back in another thread discussing black comic characters in headlining their own movies, saying mainstream audiences wouldn't go see them because they never heard of any of the characters. And as I said in that thread, Blade with all three movies plus a TV series & anime series must have been some kind of fluke then....

 

I actually did my apologies but most things like that piece of shit movie with TI and Paul Walker or the IR joint with Beyonce just plain stunk. Hes a good actor but most of his starring roles have shot scripts.

Exactly. And Hancock was just a concept for a comic character/book that someone thought would make a good movie plus the character originally wasn't black.

 

They constantly get proof that black leads are bankable so why not do it mpre of ots all about the bottom line? Thats why I dont buy into the argument its all about the dollar because black leads can bring in that hundred million dollar revenue

 

Agreed. TBH I think he should forget mainstream Hollywood and concentrate with acting in the uk. There's far more opportunity for a black men over there and for him to be viewed as an equal

I don't get why people think Denzel is sexy. He just looks like someone's boring, old dad to me. He's a great actor, but I've never found him even remotely sexy.

And I guess this is why we should always just ignore these sexiest people lists. No one will ever agree, because it's too personal a subject. What one person finds attractive, another finds a complete turn off.
