Another thread got me thinking...What is the NICEST kind act that someone has done for you and the MEANEST? I am not alking gifts, holidays etc..

I will go first....KINDNESS....my car got towed from my former residence because the city of Boston enjoys randomly changin parking times..woke up car gone...this person said, "I got you". Gave me his keys took the bus to work, picked up my car, paid the ticket and tow AND had my car detailed and washed

DOUCHEBAGERY....After the birth of my first child, my former husband REFUSED to go to the store and get feminine hygiene products for me and I had to send my best friend. He said I should have been "better prepared". I was like asshole, I just gave birth to your kid!!! Thankfully my son did not inherit that trait.

funny, my lasst two significant men had no problem with purchasing those items. their attitude was that it obviuosly was not for them. but I get your point as I have female friends who won;t buy condoms, i have no problem going into Walmart and getting a 36 pack of magnums.

    Yeah. What's that about anyhow?

Condoms are fun to buy. Especially in maga packs. The kind you can't possibly use before the 10 year shelf life expires because there's so many.

    Family planning on crack. Steroids?

    Something.

The kindest thing ever done to me:
When I was in graduate school and had no money, none, no food, not a thing and had not eaten in 4 days (except ketchup soup w packets from Mikky D). I would not be able to get back to school. A neighbor of mine wen around in the small complex (12 units) and got me a bag of spare stuff that the residents could spare (all dirt poor). summer sausage, vienna sausage, some packets of crackers, white beans and such. And she collected a few bucks so that I could get to school.
The reason that still is with me is because all of them, even though they had absolutely nothing, and still were willing to help, gave what they could so I could eat and get to school.

I never forget them. Or my neighbor who took upon herself to knock on doors and try to get something for me.

One of the douchiest things: A boyfriend back when I was a teenager that when I broke up with him, struck me and then, keeping me at an arms length proceeded to slowly and methodically pull my 2 scones from my wall * that he knew were my dearest possession) - scones that I had inherited from my dead grandmother - they were priceless to me because they were given to me by a dead woman I adored, and could not be replaced in all the sense of the word (not only were they emotionally priceless but they were antiques and quite valuable).
He had a smirk on his face the whole time and enjoyed that tremendously. Douche.

    Kindest:
After I left hospital last year my gaggle of girls got together to arrange to look after me. I had meals brought to me, my washing picked up and delivered, my house cleaned, the garden fixed and my kids picked up and dropped off every day for school. The love that I was given was so touching and I'll never forget all the kindness that was shown to me

    Yes Aliona is correct:

    2. A flattened candlestick that has a handle.
    3. Slang The human head or skull.

I got a free beer from a waitress tonight. I suspect it was because I'm cute though.

Random Acts Of Kindness (that I will never forget)

    - After work one day it was stormy and pouring down with rain, an owner of a small business near my office saw me (I knew of him), came running out with an umbrella and held it over my head and escorted me to my car. He continued to hold it over my head until i was completely seated even though he was getting wet himself from the rain... What a true gentleman...

-Fainted whilst surrounded by hundreds one night whilst watching fire works, woke up in the arms of a security gaurd carrying me through the crowds. (oh the embarressment)

Alinoa--really, you have never gone through a 36 pack, damn what does that say about me ? LOL

    No, no.

I meant the BIG packs. And not necessarily labeled big in the sense of magnums.

I mean the kind you buy from Costco.

    300 a pack. Buy 4 of those.

    I'm joking of course.

I agree, that goes beyond douchebagery, that is evil to me as it was a deliberate act of meaness. I am sorry that happened to you FG, firstly because he put his hands on you but also because he destroyed your momentos, that is beyond cruel.
