And because I'm not drowning at the moment..I still have access that let's me and the rest of Hawaii know what's going on.

I have family on the east coast that sustained losses due to hurricane sandy.

But of course I wouldn't know that because my location makes it so it takes four years to know anything at all.

What part of I have family on the east coast that suffered losses because of hurricane sandy do you not understand? It's a fairly straight forward statement and given that large areas are still without power..in THIS context..it's highlighting the fact that many people can not reach the rumor machine (hereafter called "the nets") and probably given what they are facing at the moment (family included) its not a priority.

I'm sure the people who have no heat aren't exactly worried about checking their Pinterest page.
