In the wake of last week's presidential election, thousands of Americans have signed petitions seeking permission for their states to peacefully secede from the United States. The petitions were filed on We the People, a government website. States with citizens filing include Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas. Oddly, folks from Georgia have filed twice. Even stranger, several of the petitions come from states that went for President Barack Obama. The petitions are short and to the point. For example, a petition from the Volunteer State reads: "Peacefully grant the State of Tennessee to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government." Of all the petitions, Texas has the most signatures so far, with more than 23,000.
It's not because they are racist that they are doing this. Oh no. It because as our good buddy Iggy said "We have a shitty president." Even though that president is so shitty he got re-elected....... :smt108
It's not the end of the world, people. Get a grip. Breathe. I bet hospitals and police officers will be on high alert after the inaugeration. & where is your link to this story?
I have the chimpanzee on ignore. Anything he espouses will be overlooked and I could care less if he's in denial of reality. It's a schizophrenic nation. One part that embraces diversity, yet seemingly the oxytocins are at an all-time low when reminding themselves that they have a leader that is not like the previous ones. It couldn't be so much of the economy since it's picking up, albeit at a slow pace. It's other scare factors and populism that's driving these idiots mad. Too many unnecessary baseless fears driving them to madness.
Here are a couple : http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/11/12/states-petition-obama-administration-to-secede/ http://www.politico.com/politico44/2012/11/secession-petitions-flood-white-house-website-149291.html http://www.policymic.com/articles/18946/obama-secession-citizens-from-18-states-ask-president-to-secede-from-the-union
Isn't secession ILLEGAL?? These dumbfucks don't understand what they're seeking to do is become their own POOR ASS third world country.lol Those petitions are bullshit and not worth the toilet paper they were written on.
Lets just continue to clog up government with useless petitions so the president can't actually continue to get shit straight. The thing is..even if he was a democrat..if it was a white man in the White House..these racist cry babies wouldn't be doing this. They might whine and cry and throw tantrums but they wouldn't go this far. Let them go. If they are still so fucking stupid, let them be stupid on their own time and dime. Let America heal from this idiotic fuckery.
BINGO. Where was the idiotic call for secession under other Democratic leaders the past 100 plus years. Funny how that works. It just shows the level of idiotic rancor and stench that flows through their bowels. These kind of folks are lost beyond human comprehension. Maybe the ass whooping from 1861-1865 wasn't enough. I'm sure these are the same folks that would scream about Patriotism and such when talking about America. Yet they persist in their sheer mindless temper tantrum drivel akin to a toddler, difference is these are adults which makes it quite telling. These people are an embarrassment and an utter disgrace to the United States of America. Wish they would do as they promised and left the country when it became clear Obama was reelected. What does Canada, The Bahamas and Costa Rica not want them there. Sounds like a bunch of hot air and empty rhetoric from individuals suffering from asshurtitis. Hope they enjoy the Obama inauguration on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Bwahahahaha.
Those fools have nowhere to go, they are all talk and suffering from being butthurt at seeing Obama being back in office. They are nothing more than degenerate brats with an attitude problem that they can't get over.
Send them to the desert. They can become nomads stricken out for their ignorance. We will check to see if the name Romneyville is available for them to use for their new nirvana. since they love it so much. After the election is over in previous times, people come together and support the elected. This is ignorant.
actually...... State secessionSome states have movements which see secession from the United States itself and the formation of a nation from one or more states. Alaska: In November 2006, the Alaska Supreme Court held in the case Kohlhaas v. State that secession was illegal, and refused to permit an initiative to be presented to the people of Alaska for a vote. The Alaskan Independence Party remains a factor in state politics.[citation needed] California secessionism - This was discussed by involved grassroots movement parties and small activist groups calling for the state to secede from the union, they met in a pro-secessionist meeting in Sacramento on April 15, 2010 to discuss advancing the matter. Source: http://zocalopublicsquare.org/ Florida: The mock 1982 secessionist protest[citation needed] by the Conch Republic in the Florida Keys resulted in an ongoing source of local pride and tourist amusement. Georgia: On April 1, 2009, the Georgia State Senate passed a resolution 43-1 that affirmed the right of states to nullify federal laws. The resolution also included the assertion that if Congress took certain steps, including restricting firearms or ammunition, the United States government would cease to exist.[81] Hawaii: The Hawaiian sovereignty movement has a number of active groups that have won some concessions from the state of Hawaii, including the offering of H.R. 258 in March 2011 which removes the words "Treaty of Annexation" from a statue. It has passed a committee recommendation 6-0 thus far.[82] With the decision of the Supreme Court of the United States to hear District of Columbia v. Heller in late 2007, an early 2008 movement began in Montana involving at least 60 elected officials addressing potential secession if the Second Amendment were interpreted not to grant an individual right, citing its compact with the United States of America.[83] South Carolina: In May 2010 a group was formed calling itself the Third Palmetto Republic, a reference to the fact that the state claimed to be an independent republic twice before in its history: Once in 1776 and again in 1860. The group was modeled after the Second Vermont Republic and says its aims are for a free and independent South Carolina, and to abstain from any further federations. Texas Secession Movement: The group Republic of Texas generated national publicity for its controversial actions in the late 1990s.[84] A small group still meets.[85] In April 2009, Rick Perry, the Governor of Texas, raised the issue of secession in disputed comments during a speech at a Tea Party protest saying "Texas is a unique place. When we came into the union in 1845, one of the issues was that we would be able to leave if we decided to do that...My hope is that America and Washington in particular pays attention. We've got a great union. There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, who knows what may come of that."[86][87][88][89] Vermont: The Second Vermont Republic, founded in 2003, is a loose network of several groups which describes itself as "a nonviolent citizens' network and think tank opposed to the tyranny of Corporate America and the U.S. government, and committed to the peaceful return of Vermont to its status as an independent republic and more broadly the dissolution of the Union."[90][91] Its "primary objective is to extricate Vermont peacefully from the United States as soon as possible.”[92] They have worked closely with the Middlebury Institute created from a meeting sponsored in Vermont in 2004.[93][94] On October 28, 2005, activists held the Vermont Independence Conference, "the first statewide convention on secession in the United States since North Carolina voted to secede from the Union on May 20, 1861".[92] They also participated in the 2006 and 2007 Middlebury-organized national secessionist meetings which brought delegates from over a dozen groups.[95][96][97] Republic of Lakotah: Some members of the Lakota people of Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota created the Republic to assert the independence of a nation that was always sovereign and did not willingly join the United States; therefore they do not consider themselves technically to be secessionists.[98] In 2012, citizens from over 47 states started online petitions asking for permission to secede from the United States. The petitions can be viewed on the White House's website. [99]
an overwhelming amount of whites/non blacks voted him in obviously, given that blacks make up a tiny bit of this country the racist ones are the ones pushing for secession they tried to derail him the first term and couldnt 4 more years of Popeyes and collard greens bitches :smt081
But about what? Honestly? What good reason has any of these ignorant racist fucks given for hating the president THIS much. EVERYTHING they accuse the president of being they turn around and do themselves.
