As the unofficial WW/BM political pundit...I'll make a predication. I predict that Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick will be the next Black president. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deval_Patrick
It seems he doesn't want to run but that is what I predicted as well. edit: He may run, Unlikely, but it is hard to get the seat.
I will predict America will see its first Latino or Female President in 2016. White Americas numbers are dropping every year. We will see in our lifetime multiple non-white males running successful Presidential campaigns and winning.
Does this one have a white mom too or can we actually say it's the first non-biracial black president? I'm too lazy to even click the link
Shame on the idiots that only vote for candidates based on the color of their skin. I bet Kid Rasta doesnt know a thing about this cat other than he's black.
Pretty much. Made me cough coffee this morning. I see kid rasta as the wwbm gossip guy, not the wwbm political guy.
I am pretty sure he does. It is hard to not talk about Mitt and not know who Patrick is since both of them had the same job.
Truth in that statement Its one of the reasons the Founding Fathers came up with the Electoral College. They knew people are stupid and would vote based on looks and who was a slick salesman.
so they made the people who could vote smaller so that people who are stupid and would vote based on looks and who was a slick salesman could do it a smaller fashion. Those founding fathers! geniuses
Hillary ain't got a chance at being POTUS. She got to much baggage with Bill behind her. The GOP will rip her apart. The Dems/GOP are gonna have to find new faces and folks with clean historys. Obamas presidency has somewhat changed the game on who can get the POTUS job.
I know more than you forgot, son. I've been to countries you never heard of. Don't hit cities -- I hit countries.
I would seriously vote for her. As a lot of others. She has been paying her dues in this admin. So we'll see.
At this moment in time, there are no plans to run for president. However, for the Democratic wing, it would be hard to find another rising star with the same magnitude as Obama or Hillary. But I'd wager if it's not a woman, then he would have to be Latino with a controversial name like say...Julian Castro.
I think it would have been in bad form to announce a future candidacy before the current Dem is through with his. I am sure it will come in time. She has aspirations. No doubt.
At this moment in time, people have short term memories. No one's talking about Joe Biden's hints at running for office in 2016, nor the GOP candidates. We can only speculate on rising stars, but people will be more concerned with the crop of Congress and the White House for the next four years. So, in the meantime, we can only focus on the now and let the events unfold. As for Hillary, I don't think she'll be back on the political scene for a while. Having been in the spotlight this long, she would rather leave her mark where it's most highest at the moment and that's The Secretary of State. She would make an excellent President, but I think she would pass the torch onto someone else like Kirsten Gillibrand or her daughter, IF she thinks about doing politics.
