Do u know how to read? Or did you sleep through HS English?

I am NOT getting owned in this thread. I'm helping other people who can't follow along properly (like you, obviously) catch a clue.

Hmmm...so you're putting Romney on the same level as Hitler, a man who systematically hunted down and murdered millions of innocent men, women, and children?

Dislike what I say about Obama all you want, but I've never in my life said that he "deserves a special place in hell" when he dies. I save that phrase for sick and disgusting people such as: pedophiles, serial killers, parents who kill their children, dictators who slaughter their own citizens and bury them in mass graves. You know, those people deserve to have that phrase attached to them.

But a Republican Presidential candidate? Really? That's nothing short of lunacy.

And to bring this topic back down to Earth, the hate you spew at Republicans is just as divisive to the country as what you proclaim the right is doing.

As for the last part, you do realize that Obama "flip-flopped" on his stance about gay marriage because he was getting pressure from other Democrats? He also believes in it being the states' decisions.

    I'm just sayin'.

President Obama today announced that he now supports same-sex marriage, reversing his longstanding opposition amid growing pressure from the Democratic base and even his own vice president.

The president stressed that this is a personal position, and that he still supports the concept of states' deciding the issue on their own. But he said he's confident that more Americans will grow comfortable with gays and lesbians getting married, citing his own daughters' comfort with the concept.

Ah...see there you go again confusing me for a Christian. I am (thankfully) not and the hell that I speak of is not modeled after a Christian version of it.

What I was referring to was actually the preta realm.

People CAN change their minds. It's called GROWTH.

What Romney does is say whatever is expedient at the time so he can win a vote from whomever he's talking to and whatever their values might be.
Comparing Obama to that is..what's the word? Oh, right. Lunacy.
He hasn't BANNED same sex marriage based on his religious preference.

    But mitt will.
And a host of other things that shouldn't even be an issue in 2012.

I agree with you so much.

Bookworm, I dunno why you feel the need to defend people you don't know. Romney and Ryan don't give a fuck about you anyway - you're female, remember?

ANY woman who defends the Republicans has no self respect at all.

Congratulations and well done to you guys on here who voted for Obama.

*cue people saying I'm not allowed to have an opinion because I live in the UK lol*

Can't really lump all Republicans in that same manner since they, like Democrats, have diverse ideology in their wing. The difference is that Republicans who are liberal leaning or remotely moderate no longer have much of a voice in the grander scale of the party. The majority voice are either reactionary or right-leaning who doesn't believe in compromise.

There are also conservative Democrats who fall in line with reactionary ideas pertaining to social issues (Bart Stupak on women's rights). So, it's not a Democrat or Republican issue here. It's progressive causes vs. conservative ideas.

Whether or not you could have an opinion about who gets elected in the states..the fact remains that Romney policies would have had a devastating effect on other countries. So other countries have a right to an opinion whether it would count in the USA or not.

And THAT honestly was THE most unfathomable thing about this race. That women would even think about voting for a republican platform when the rebuplicans have made it so painfully clear that we are STILL viewed as second class citizens and had they been elected (thankfully those Neanderthals were thrown out by the BUTTLOADS) they would have micromanaged almost every single right we had. And these rights have nothing to do with government. They are HUMAN rights.
