When you tell people they can't have something, they want it more and there is increase in demand.

Narcotics is popular because it is illegal and majority of people get a thrill doing something illegal.

If the Federal Govt banned Dr. Pepper soda, mofos will be out trying to get their hands on it. Even people that hate the taste of Dr. Pepper will be going after it.

    I disagree with this.

Narcotics are popular because people like the effects they get.

You have a point in regards to people wanting something they cant have or your point of thrill seekers however in regards to this topic it doesn't apply.

If anything the low key people who wished it was legal so they could treat their illness or replace the bottle with a doobie can come out of the closet now.

The day im waiting for is when its legal on a federal level and my insurance company pays for 80% of my medicine. You telling me the cartel doesn't want to sell to the pharmacies in bulk legally? no more having to hide it in the body panels of cars and in the spare tire...

If you look at video at the link I put above the atty who fought for it to be passed, compared it to prohibition. And he said see how well that worked.

The Feds cannot allow criminal organisations to legally sell a product on American soil. That's like allowing al-qaeda to sell Afghanistan heroin in the USA openly.

The Feds have made illegal MJ a profitable institution of not allowing it to be legal.

If the Feds legalised weed, it will have to be taxed and regulated under the FDA. Legalisation on the Federal level will allow MJ to be grown fully on US soil and keeping revenue in the USA. The cartels want that money flowed back to their home countries.

The Feds don't know jack shit about weed. The Feds could never produce and allow the different varieties of weed you can get on American streets.

The Feds is gonna have to come up with a way to "legalise" the underground growers. And figure out a way to keep the over 1.5 million mofos locked up in prison for something that is legal.

That's a whole different issue with mofos locked up with lost revenue for the prison industrial complex.

They have in the states that allow prescription mj use. Most of the underground growers sell to the dispensaries.

I do agree with your point "The Feds cannot allow criminal organisations to legally sell a product on American soil. That's like allowing al-qaeda to sell Afghanistan heroin in the USA openly."

For the cartells only high profit is interesting. They cannot kill each other anymore to influence the price, when the market is open. Too high costs to send the killers around to the increasing numbers of producers, too less profit when they sell it to pharmacy. unprofitable business..I assume

The biggest irony of it all...is that California, once held as a bastion of liberalism, has falling deep into the cracks. With states like Colorado and Washington enacting progressive social policies like same-sex marriage and legalizing marijuana, we're wondering what's up with the likes of progressive California?

I would LOVE to see how companies in Washington, Colorado and Oregon deal with their employees who come to work high.

I'm sure that these companies will have new rules in place went the laws come in effect, especially the companies that deal with state and federal agencies.

I like how you stay in hiding just to come out and speak only on this very topic. As if this is the only thing worth mentioning on WWBM.

Have to agree with Arch. More people love booze than illegal narcotics, so not sure the thrill is based in its legality - it's definitely how u feel using it.

Agreed that better more specific testing methods would have to be developed. I know it took me 64 days before I pissed clean when I quit (not cause I wanted too, either) and I assure you I was not impaired for 63 of them.

The first step on the federal level is to revisit and revise the schedule of drugs. Fifteen years ago Marijuana was a schedule I drug, but even as a schedule II drug I think it is miss-classified.

Completely agreed. It's ridiculous to classify it as more dangerous/harmful than METHAMPHETAMINE?!

Google 'ingredients in methamphetamine'. It's laughable at best and flat out delusional to even consider putting it a step above in class.

I've never even smoked a joint in my life, but know plenty of people who do and I always found the weed policy to be over the top.

I've seen so many college kids who smoked weed like no one's business.

One kid was even busted for selling it in huge quantities. He kept it in a gym locker on campus and was trafficking the shit I suppose. An Italian kid from Long Island.

Others sold it out of their dorm room in small amounts.

Kids couldn't wait to get their 4:20 on, puff puff. :)

I've sat in rooms talking to friends who were taking bong hits.

LOL, I could have started a side trade of selling the stuff if I was so inclined, in that I don't smoke the stuff so don't have to worry about cutting into my supply and plenty of college kids who would drop dollars on being supplied with it.

I even had a roommate that would eat psychedelic mushrooms and go to the local cemetery at night to trip out on it.

    That dude was out there.

He caught a scary tongue fungus in his mouth from a bad batch of shrooms.
