Top 20 US States for Interracial Dating

In the terms of ww willing to date black men I agree with you, but in the since of the best state for interracial dating, I have to go with Florida. Even satyr has a point if we are just looking at the willingness of ww to date bm, but do the women of virgina compare to the women of florida on averages?? Not at all, the women in florida tend to be more lively, outgoing, full of energy and carry more of that love for life vibe that you don't see often in Va. Not to mention they are hotter too. Virginia is cool, don't get me wrong but I see too many women looking dull and depressed. Cali is nice, but why pay more to enjoy life when you can get the same value for less, also florida women tend to be more genuine. LA is racist, and there are other aspects of Cali that make it less desirable than florida. New york has many fine women, but good luck getting your eye candy when it is 32 degrees. lol

 

I feel you fam. I guess I have deep apprehensions in states like FL because of their history with black men ie Rosewood and as recent as Treyvon Martin. Not saying NY is the mecca of race relations but there are too many people here for people to be caught up with shit as trivial as race. We are all in such a hurry to get from one place to the next.

 

On the WW in that Huffpost survey is mostly small and not as large. It is hard to find a lot of diversity in a American Metropolitan city. I hope they would do one for the European cities like London,Paris,Stockholm,Berlin etc. Those places where the ww are more bolder than the ones in America. Oh yes,the cities of Sydney and Melbourne in Oz.

This is interesting. It would have been nice though if they showed the number of interracial marriages per capita. California, Texas, New York, and Florida are at the top because of raw numbers. But a smaller state might be at the top based on the percentage of new marriages being interracial.

I'm from NorCal and I am actually surprised it's on the list considering it seems in this modern era people from NorCal are more interested in Asian dudes, but hey maybe that's just the area I am from

 

Texas

I've lived in Texas for all of my adult life. I'm no world class ladies man, but I do okay. I date all colors, but I've never had much trouble with IR. Don't get me wrong, there are racist attitudes. But there are so many women that you can discount the unwilling and still have plenty of opportunity left over. I also find that if racism is an issue, it's from the friends and family, not the woman herself.

I've lived in Austin, Houston, and Dallas. Austin was probably the toughest of the three to find women up for IR, but it wasn't all that hard there either. Basically, you just need to stick to the big cities and you're okay. There are some small towns that mix really well, but you'd have to know which ones. There are still small towns run by the Klan here (in 2012!).

Anyway, you can find any kind of woman anywhere. The key is making them see you as an individual and not a color.

Gaz1,I learn something every day. I thought Austin is the most liberal than any Texas city. I find doubtful of this survey since if the South have more IR then it would be of Purple States instead of Red States.

 

No surprise California is on that list. Though I don't think California could be labeled #1. Then again my perspective is kinda biased when I go to different states, and say I'm from Los Angeles girls just get wet.

 

I'm surprised Washington state is not on the list. Seattle/Tacoma is full of IR couples.

The same with Colorado around Denver/Colorado Springs areas.

100% agree. I see a lot of IR couples in my end of Denver but moreso I see it when I am down in the springs. Lots of military down there is why I am told by a military person it is even more common there than even here. That list is suspect to me or not complete.

 

Maybe you shouldn't be. I assume most of us haven't been in every state looking for this. But, as I mentioned, I've lived in several parts of Texas. IR is well-represented here across much of the state. I'm not surprised to see it so high on the list.

I imagine that there are states with low rates of IR dating statewide that nevertheless have high-IR cities. Minneapolis springs to mind. I just had lunch with an attractive black woman who said she specifically moved from there because all of the black men seemed to be dating white women. Still, Minnesota is nowhere to be found in the top 20. I assume Texas is high up because it's got so many big cities.

Also keep in mind that IR doesn't necessarily equal BMWW for this type of list. Sometimes they include white-Hispanic couples (despite the fact that Hispanic isn't a race).
