Hi everyone! I found this forum, and think it is a great place. I look forward to getting to meet people.

A little about me: I am a 32yr old ww, that just started dating black men. Unfortunately family doesn't approve of it, so I haven't done it until recently. After a 9yr loveless marriage to a white man, I decided to date bm. I've always been interested, but haven't because of family. Now I am of the mindset that I need to do what is best for me. I am dating a bm now that I truly think could be "the one." It is still early, since we've only been on one date, but I am hopeful.

Maybe you need to stick a calendar in their faces and show them it says 2012 about to be 2013 soon, not 1812, 1912.

You only live once, you have to make the choices that impact your life and can't simply live it to appease other grown folks insecurities.
