And SEPTA said, we will "open tomorrow late morn, but we need 8 hours AT LEAST to assess all the routes, tracks, buses trains trolleys to see what or wasn't damaged, so no one can use SEPTA until then.

As I sit here watching the weather channel. Just wanna say that I hope all you east coast peoples out there are prepared and stay safe as Sandy makes landfall.

Real talk though I can't remember a time when all major highways were close. The parkways like the Bronxriver and The Sawmill get flooded but I87 and I95? Thats fricking crazy. Time to get under the covers and watch some of these damn movies I downloaded

I feel a little guilty and yet very grateful to be living very inland in Kentucky... home and safe with this old 70's squiggly moon-globe lamp that's supposed to hang from the ceiling... need to get someone taaallll to come hang it for me but it's casting its soothing glow over me at a time when my anxiety is in full sail - I need this lamp. So grateful I don't live on the east coast - not as strong as some of you all.

Of course we don't know what we're made of until serious things strike. I know you all will make it through safe and sound. Call on your Higher Power, God if you believe in Him (He is there...), God if you don't believe in Him if you're really scared...(He is still there)... Praying peace over you all, and hunker down but don't panic - His eye is on the sparrow. Take care of your kitties and puppies and all of your critters and your kids. Keep your books from getting wet in case the power goes out because you might need something to read. I'm thinking worst case scenario - been watching too many movies.
