I think Sandy is the real deal. I am in Jersey, and reports coming out state it's taking the course of the worst scenario. To all on the path stay safe
Thank you Funlove. PA here. You stay safe too...she's still a clp hundred miles out to sea, and I just heard PICKING up speed! WTF! She's coming right thru Philly...I cant even move my car to the street (have 100+ft trees in my parking area at the back of my home) as all space is taken. I'm scared my chimney will blow off as some bricks are loose, I'm scared a tree will come crashing thru my 3rd floor and in the front of my home, a huge tree could also crash through my second floor I say this only because they are saying it's going to be 8 hours of sustained 85-100 mph winds..... and power lines WILL be coming down, to just expect it.
Be safe, guys. I'm down here in Baltimore, & right now, it's just raining......steadily. They're saying that the worst of this thing is comin' this evening. I believe that all the governors in the northeast has pre-called a natural disaster for their respective states, so I think that's an indication that this is going to be something significant. Fun love, last thing I heard was that YOU guys are gettin' a direct hit, so hunker down!!!
I'm on the other side. So, I think I will be fine. Thank you. And I need you to be safe so that we can continue our disagreements on here :smt057
Hour & a half NW of Philly - raining steadily & wind is picking up. Businesses, schools & city/county offices are closed. East coast peeps, stay safe. Prayers going out for all of us.
To all of you who are in the path of this storm of epic proportions I pray that you remain safe. You are all in my prayers.
The only thing you can do right now is to listen to the State ands Local government for instructions. I just hope it does not turn out as bad as they are predicting. Again stay safe, property is always replaceable. Yes they predict a part of Jersey is going to get a direct hit. They also give a very broad area, that you don't really know where it will hit. The good thing is that Local, State and the Feds seem to be coordinating to deal with the aftermath of the storm.
Hurricane Sandy dwarfs Hurricane Irene. They are saying it's slow moving and will stay in the region, so that is the big problem. It might rain continuously for two to three days along with wind gusts.
