they actually tried to justify that rationale by saying it makes their students stronger ie get those grades no matter what

when i read that they cancelled their classes, I knew shit was about to get raw durty

everyone else closes down for an inch of snow or strong breeze on a chin, these guys dont

Just found out my daughter has to go to work...she is considered essiential personnel, as her office is coordinating the arrival and departure of the FEMA trucks...my son is off and watching the baby...wishing I was in western MA with them.. Worst is suppose to be overnight. I am 5 miles from the water and it is already picking up

No place is a good place to be in a hurricane but five miles from water is really bad.

 

My car is parked safely away from the trees...have insurance, cash, water, candles, batteries, plenty of food, good books and work to do and a great friend who lives next door to hang with.. Grateful my kiddos are 90 miles from the MA shore and 40 miles from the CT shore. Thank you for your good wishes. Going to shower and clean up in case I lose power

i'm still in awe that my hospital hasnt declared an access emergency yet

i think they'll do it later, so they can get as many bodies in their and coverage

access emergency = no penalization for calling out

if they declare it too soon, i guess they feel people wouldn't have any reason to go to work. In our emails, they say even during an access emergency, people are expected to make reasonable effort to come in:smt005
