    I took my daughter to Mall of America in Minneapolis for a 4 day weekend. I'd never been there and I hadn't taken a real vacation in a very long time. I chose some place that we could drive that wasn't too long, so I could gauge how she would react to it.

    We had fun. We also spent a lot of time in the hotel pool. LOL.

    I spent 3 days down in the Newport News/VA Beach area with only my oldest son, college hopping. We had a great time. It's very seldom I ever get a lot of alone time with just one of my children...so we hung out and ate at various sports bars and no-name pizza joints.

    Before that, took a quick "vaca" to Va Beach w/ someone I see on occasion. We had a really nice time, but only a day trip...

    And I also went to Chicago for a wedding w/ my daughter (who was 2 at the time) and my girlfriend and her daughter. We had a BLAST...

    I need a REAL VACA to Brazil or something...get my groove back!

    Oh, and I went to Cali in August and Vegas in July and Chicago-land 2 weeks ago and Boston in 2 weeks.

    Went to Maui w my mom for 10 days late September! It was fantastic!!
    MY first real vacation in 7 years.

    Then course Tarshis visit here....... COME BACK wifey!!!
