Far Right Using "Dreams of My Real Father"

I got ambushed this evening by a bigot and his laptop. Had a group session with some of the guys at work and then we got into politics. I took the stand that all the shit about the President being not a citizen was just that a bunch of shit with no fact of truth to the matter. This asshole who remains nameless and who does not like me because of my wife pulled out his laptop and went to YouTube and ran this video called "Dreams From My Real Father: A Story of Reds and Deception". What an offensive bullshit the right wing has thrown out there on the Internet about the President. They are trying to make the case that President Obama's real father is a communist name Frank Marshall Davis. They make the visual comparisons of the two. What really makes me angry is that they are trying to paint the President's mother as being a whore. I was undecided about voting for President Obama by voting for Libertarian Gerry Johnson. But now I will vote for President Obama as a protest to these racist mutha f*****s who will do anything to bring this man down. I decided not to post that video on this site. If you want to see this trash that the far right as put out there to influence this election you can see it on YouTube. President Obama you win this one to avenge your mother's honor and your family.

 

There are meetings of those tea baggers and they sell that trash. Those racists are hateful to begin with.

My friend you may be right. BUT, I've had it with the subtle shit being thrown around out here. By calling the President incompetent, not knowing what he is doing, he is over his head, stupid, a man child, mixed mutt, etc..... I've had it with the disrespect for this man. I find it's VERY interesting that my parents are getting on the anti-Islam bandwagon (they are avid Republicans/ were Sarah Palin supporters, now are Mitt Romney supporters). My mother slipped a CD of a converted "radical Muslim terrorist" called Daniel Shayesteh, now a Missions Apologist/Christian into a bag for me, along with two books by Billy Graham.

Now. She knows I have always deeply respected and loved Billy Graham all of my life. And not two days ago (on the heels of giving me the CD, and my telling her NO THANKS, it's like you are trying to "convert me", because she knows I respect all religions)... she posted a poster of Billy Graham basically telling everyone to vote for Mitt Romney because he is against gay marriage, and stands for "traditional values", including I assume "Pro Life" (which is a grey area, in my opinion).

It's like she thinks she can convert me through Billy Graham, and like she is telling me that a black man (Barack) is Muslim! Meanwhile Mitt is a fucking Mormon who traditionally thinks black people are subhuman and don't have souls!! I will always love Billy Graham but I don't have to believe with everything he says. I didn't comment on my mother's post because I didn't want to cause a scene but she's soooo manipulative. She actually SAID (at lunch that day... "I DON'T WANT THAT IN OUR FAMILY!!!" (Islam) So I guess she would rather have a white atheist in our family. Ooookay. FMLTH

I would rather be with someone who believes in God, personally.

I did text her later: "Thank you for the Billy Graham books - I have always admired him greatly" But that was BEFORE she pulled her little trick on FB with the anti gay marriage, anti this, anti that, pro this pro that, do what's right, vote for Mitt crap. And thats why i want Barack Obama to win cus some people will be busting arteries, vessels and other shit. There are people who just want Obama out of the White House because in their warped minds they cant stand a black family in the White House. I probably will be busting a you- know- what humping my baby mama on Nov. 6 if he wins.

At first I held off thinking hey maybe they have legitimate beefs with Obama's policies and therefore it is fair game to criticize.

But then you have those who willfully go beyond the arena of politics, you would think Obama got to be President through affirmative action or something.

I know that all President's get a rough ride no matter who they are, comes with that job, but the leeching of his birthright, ethnicity, etc into the arena is beyond the pale.

 

StAug,did you know on Billy Graham's website they removed Mormonism from their cult list? Franklin Graham is running the show instead of his sister.

I appreciate your concern. Though there are only three African Americans (including myself) I normally do not feel alienated by my majority white co-workers. There are a few who are bigoted on the issues of race. This nameless asshole is especially bigoted. He has been warned by upper management on being vocal about race on several occasions. I will say this. I'm not one to turn the other cheek. I think many people here know that I'm not one to be a sheep. They have long ago found out that I do not fit the stereotype of what a black man should be, think, and look. If it's one thing a bigot hates and that is having his or her belief system challenged and discredited. I will continue to challenge them and discredit them. I enjoy the fight.

Thank you my friend, I hope in President Obama he turns the table on those assholes by winning this election. This will be a major defeat for the Sean Hannity's, Micheal Savages out there. As far as the bigots in my own world I will continue push forward and simply be myself. By being myself they can never undermine me. If there is one thing my father passed on to me and my brothers and sisters and that is "always keep your head high and be yourself, and valued education and learning, because that they can never take away from you".
