Look, I think people are a bit misguided when it comes to the word, which is merely a bastardization of "black." N!gger derives from negro, which means black. I said 'niggas' because, well, I can.

The word itself is irrelevant. It comes down to how people use (or denote) "black." I didn't use it in some sweeping racist fashion to disrespect *your* black ancestors. Not even close. I use it informally, not in any serious context. And I don't think the likes of Dick Gregory and Richard Pryor used it to disparage other black people. Quite the contrary. More like "get over yourself" - that is, blacks and whites. And that is my message to you...stfu.
