Someone had to say something. Hahahah it would be interesting indeed to debate why they like vickys over fredricks. We need to hear details about fitment and pictures to backup any statements made.
I didn not read the whole thread..so these are just my thougts: 1. Feminism does not equal hate of men 2. In many fields, such as public service, pay is equal, but there are some public sector jobs that women are not having much luck getting into. Fire departments in particular. 3. Black men face more prejudices than white women do in the work force. 4. Men in general get better retirment deals as they tend to work more time, as women often leave the workforce to have kids.
I wholeheartedly agree on all points. I don't know about everywhere, but in my workplace, bm have to work harder to be treated equally to ww. Of course, leadership would never admit that, but it's obvious to most. Nothing I have to add to the other points made. Good thread.
Just the facts, TDK...ok? *Executive Order 10925 On March 6, 1961 President John F. Kennedy issued Executive Order 10925, which included a provision that government contractors "take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, creed, color, or national origin." TDK, just so you know..... It took the Government SIX YEARS after creating and implementing Affirmative Action Law against RACIAL bias in the workforce, to finally recognize discrimination also existed against women in the workforce and make an amendment - *Executive Order 11246 On Oct. 13, 1967, President Johnson amended the order to include sex on the list of attributes. Executive Order 11246 also requires federal contractors to take affirmative action to promote the full realization of equal opportunity for women and minorities. An excerpt from the executive order follows (Part II, Subpart B, Sec. 202(1)): The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The contractor will take affirmative action....
Bliss, I brought up that same point, and TDK did a bit of backpedaling and said that what he really meant to say was that ww benefited more from affirmative action than racial minorities.
Thanks for the info, Bookie...I had followed the post back to Jordan's original question. But his back pedaling doesn't surprise me. Anytime he is shown facts, he retorts with his opinion. And we know where they emanate from -
I SAID MY MISTAKE. IS THAT NOT AN ADMISSION OF BEING WRONG. You people would seriously having nothing fun to do if I weren't on the board to hate lol
No hate. In fact, your first line is a sentence I would LOVE to see.... made into a bumper-sticker, with your smiling mug. :smt001
Yeah one wrong comment out of dozens of correct ones is worth lamenting Like I said if you guys didn't have me to hate you'd be bored out of your minds.
I agree a lot of what you said in this thread is correct except for that bad comment about selective service. Men are generally better at physical activities than woman. That was back in the day though. It doesn't matter how fast you are these days. You still can't out run a drone, bullet, explosion, or missile.
Honey if I was bored, I'd be in this thread arguing. This is my 3rd post. More like if you didn't have an outlet to express your hatred of women, you'd go mad.
And apparently you read nothing I wrote because if you think for a second I hate women you're out of your mind. I just choose not to infantilize you and go with everything you say and then appease you to keep your mouth shut. All I did was offer other theories I learned in economics classes. Its perfectly sound logic and theory nothing based on emotion much less hate. I took this as an intellectual debate and truly feel sorry for you if you can't tell the difference between an incoherent rant and expression of ideas. It really comes across as though some of you just can't stand to be around anyone who doesn't agree with you. Its ok boo lets just hug it out and be done :smt056
Er. what's all this nonsense you wrote? ^ :smt005 I haven't EVEN BEEN IN THIS thread, you do realize this, right?? :smt037 Booboo, you are definitely confusing me with the plethora of other women you have been battling with in here, because I have no fucking IDEA what you are ranting about!! LMAO! :smt036
Then by your own admission you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about so don't accuse me of being a misogynist thanks. It's similar to if I accused you of being a racist. Make sense?
Fuck no, it does not. :smt043 What makes sense is that the comment you made that Affirmative Action was NOT made for minorities but for WW to work, was not only utter and TOTAL BULLSHIT, but spoke to your rampant HATRED of women that you spew endlessly and effortlessly on this forum, NO MATTER the damn topic. :smt006 It aaaaalways leads back to your hatred of women.
I think that the current state of gender relations has its roots in primitive and traditional society, and the distribution of labor based on the monopolization of the use of force. Men typically dominated primitive social structures, which I think is unjust. However, women also developed coping strategies (that are no less unjust) to cope with this inequality. Chief among them is the use of their sexuality and emotional sensitivity to manipulate men and others to give them control/power that they cannot achieve by resorting to physical force. That's the basis for the phrase "Behind every strong man is a stronger woman". So in my view, both genders perpetuate a manipulative, dishonest way of interacting with each other based on power struggles to which none of us are immune, as we are all primates and all of this has its roots in our common, primitive past. That is not, however, an excuse to not try to improve things. I support the women's movement, as I support equality for all people. I will shut up now. Good night, everyone.
