    Arrest for Prostitution Ring

Alexis Wright, 29 year old zumba fitness instructor, has been arrested for running a prostitution ring in the quaint town of Kennebunk, Maine. Her accomplice, 57 year old Mark Strong, assisted in this prostitution ring as well. She is accused of having sex with multiple men in her dance class and recording them on tape and we're talking well over 150 patrons giving the fitness instructor a little extra "zumba practice." Feel free to the read the full article by clicking on the link above.

Here are some of photos of the Alexis Wright. And I have to say...she's very fit and quite an attractive woman. But here is one thing that sort of gets to me: I've always had the impression when you're running a prostitution ring, you're basically giving others orders to do the sexual favors and money returns to you. But here is Miss Wright basically getting paid for having sex with multiple men and I think we should revisit the debate on legalizing prostitution somewhere in the near future.

She was fully aware of her actions and I can assume that this side business was all about getting extra money in the wake of saving her business and other expenses.

What are your thoughts on the matter?

It's only news because she is sexy and the small town has nothing going on.

It happens anyways, might as well legalize it so the criminal justice system's time and tax payers money isn't wasted on stuff like this.

Unless the sex involves hurting another person, I think the government should get out of the regulating of sexual morality.

I think the legality of will be always left up to the states, but what I can't understand is why is prostituion illegal in California, how is that possible when porn is legal? What is the difference?? Is the film the only difference?? If so that makes no sense at all.

The laws may be an attempt to make money for the government as well. Because prostitution is not regulated like the porn industry is..the government will step in to over see it and that boils down to criminalizing it.

It's the worlds oldest profession and as such will not stop because of laws or even a moral stance on it.
It would be far better contained if the money spent on prosecuting it went to over seeing the safety of it instead.

The main difference is that on paper, the people making porn are being paid for the $ earned from the video... not from the act of having sex itself. In a sense it's more safe and controlled, and the government can tax the revenue.

The actual prostitution charges are only a misdeameanor, according to the articles that I read on that story. Her real problems will come with tax evasion charges and so forth.

The really interesting thing associated with that story is the list of clients in that rather small affluent town. I wonder how many prominent persons will be listed in her rather detailed records and visible in her videos!!!

Your interpretation of the law makes sense, but the law itself still seems silly to me. Nevada is proof that all else is equal if it were legal.

Even then, to my knowledge, in Vegas itself, prostitution is illegal. They can advertise in Vegas, but the actions are only legally permitted in the outskirts of the city (not certain of the specific areas).

The law itself is very silly indeed :smt102.

You shouldn't pass judgment on others given your record on maturity on the forums. Why bother posting if all you're doing is spouting out diarrhea remarks?

Secondly, nobody cares what you think. No one else is complaining, but you. So, don't like it? Don't post. And besides, this is News and Views, not IR Couplings.

Honestly, why not post something worthwhile instead of coming off like some ghetto minded shit-stirrer?
