Dude loves trolling & stirring shit so he's going to do shit even if no one responds. He's ignorant enough that he'll do shit until someone does respond. Even if folks that have been here more than a minute know not to respond, new people will.

Various people were allowed privileges if they followed the ideologies of their captors or oppressors throughout history. I am sure you could get extra privileges if you were a woman getting raped by "massa", but it doesn't mean that it doesn't come with a cost. Giving credit where credit is due in this sense is like saying... "Yeah, they raped my wife, and she was forced to have his kids, but luckily they can read and write. Hopefully they will be able to create their own communities in places like Rosewood, Or Greenwood, OK. And if they learn to fight the system they shouldn't have to worry about COINTELPRO."

TDK, you are smarter than this man. I personally wouldn't let a man rape my wife so that my children could have Harvard Scholarships.

BASICALLY, IT ISN'T A CHOICE WHEN YOU ARE A SLAVE, YOU JUST DO AS YOU ARE TOLD.

The black church gave them a place to congregate and plan. It gave them a place to socialize and be around their own kind without the constant overseeing of master. It unified us for better or worst. The foundations on which it was presented is definitely shitty but its like saying yeah this country was founded on bloodshed and murder but most of us are living pretty damn well because of it.
I guess I also have an immigrants mentality when it comes to some of this because if it weren't for the US my black ass would have been sweeping a dirt floor in Jamaica as we speak

So... basically what your telling me is that the intelligent black slaves went through the motions of Christianity so as to have a better life for themselves. Kind of like how we kept our heads down until we could move forward? And that means religion is good or deserves credit because?

The only credit that is due is to those who sucked it up and prayed to "massa jesus" to make it through slavery. THAT IS NOT A CREDIT TO RELIGION BUT TO THOSE WHO SUFFERED. CONSIDERING THAT THE EXCUSE FOR SLAVERY AND TO TREAT US LIKE NOTHING CAME FROM RELIGION... I AM NOT EVEN GOING TO BEGIN TO GIVE CREDIT TO THAT BULLSHIT.

But feel free to give credit yourself. And keep on praying for that pie in the sky.

That's completely untrue. Slavery was purely about economics fam. Religion was a scapegoat as it usually is

And as I said before religion is purely economics fam. They go hand and hand to keep your black ass enslaved. However...

Really? Tell that to devout Buddhist and Taoist. If you're gonna spout that stuff that at least keep it specific to the Abrahamic religions
