You already know Iggy or Paniro or both, are looking for some shit from a Democrat to equal this. And you know they are trying hard to find something with a Black Democrat at that, saying some shit on this level to further counter this shit.....

Dude I went to college for Political Science. I studied this shit for four years and I have never seen this kind of rhetoric from the left/progressives. I just need one example, any example so that I don't have to look at the right as the party of mental illness.

UGH! Total mental illness right there! He's got some nerve, saying that revolting statement.

The day a black person can take with any iota of credibility an old, crusty, White Southern, Conservative bigot commenting about slavery benefiting blacks is the day the Israelis and Palestinians will sign a permanent peace deal.

He's quite a cheeky fella, wonder how many black folks mouth-breather Jethro has in his personal circle of acquaintances, much less friends, that he seems to think he can make outlandish statements that sweep across the spectrum of black America as some ubiquitous entity.

Every black person in my family works hard and pays their taxes, sure as hell looks like they are contributing to American society.

The 2nd legislator from Arkansas to come out pro-slavery..!:smt096

Loy Mauch, Arkansas Lawmaker, Defended Slavery In Letters To The Editor

A Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives has a history of writing in support of slavery and the Confederacy, along with comparing Abraham Lincoln to Karl Marx.
State Rep. Loy Mauch (R-Bismarck) wrote a series of letters to the editor of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, defending slavery and attacking Lincoln, the Arkansas Times reports.
The revelations about Mauch's letters come days after it was reported that state Rep. Jon Hubbard (R-Jonesboro) wrote that slavery "may have been a blessing" in a 2010 book.
The Arkansas Republican Party has condemned Hubbard's comments, along with comments by Republican legislative candidate Charlie Fuqua, who advocated expelling Muslims from the United States.
Mauch, a first term legislator, wrote the letters starting in 2000. He has called Lincoln a "fake neurotic Northern war criminal" and said the 16th president committed "premeditated murder" on the Constitution. He called Lincoln and Civil War generals "Wehrmacht leaders" -- the name for the armed forces in Nazi Germany. He also praised his ancestors for standing up to "Northern aggression" and said the Confederate flag is "a symbol of Christian liberty vs. the new world order."

In two letters, Mauch wrote about the Bible and slavery. The Arkansas Times quotes from a letter Mauch wrote in 2009:

If slavery were so God-awful, why didn’t Jesus or Paul condemn it, why was it in the Constitution and why wasn’t there a war before 1861?

This is the reason why the majority of Black folk shake their heads when we hear another Black person claim their political sympathies reside in the GOP.:smt119

It may not be every Republican, but racism in the GOP is like marbled fat in a cut of steak. It's impossible to separate the two. The modern GOP post 1960 has an unusually high tolerance for bigots and ass clowns.

And there it is. The newest deluded rationalization as to why anyone in the United States in the 21st century would proudly rep a Confederate flag. It definitely trumps the current "It's a symbol of southern pride" argument that gets whipped out by a lot of these chuckleheads out there who love to display them. :smt011

This guy is definitely a tool and a baffoon but lets not judge the entire Republican Party because of one knucklehead. I do agree with all of you though that his comments are disgusting and definitely not something I agree with.

Seriously? There are enough Republicans like this guy in the party that send up plenty of red flags for any rational black individual with eyes to see to be wary.

See? What did I tell you? :smt043

And anything she says or may have said is not on the same level as this dude. Try again......

I see the water is dripping with clownish buffoonery there in Arkansas.

I bet these two fellows are real upstanding types that have no preconceived notions and ill views of blacks.

Not hard to see why the South has such a poor reputation on the the issue of race with people like this seeking public office.

Here they are again using God and the Bible to make outlandish statements. Something is not all there together in the heads of these folks.

How are these creatures any better than the Taliban and other extremists who use religion to explain man's filthy actions.

Arkansas can keep these two backwards, insufferable, rotten, degenerates right there, where they can remain the butt of jokes for 21st century human beings.

Amazing how that works, using God as a means of justification.

Or saying I'm a God fearing individual while one is possessed with mind numbing bigotry

Hypocrite is thy name, no shame in thy game the way I see it.

I do believe this would be the exact definition of hyprocrisy..or would that be irony? Or both? seeing as how we are at war with them and they do the same backassward ignorant things these GOP/extreme "conservitive" asshats do.

And....I won't even begin to touch this..but may I also point out that they then go on and on and on about their religious "values"?

    :smt031

    Tah-dah!
And people vote for these arseholes. Or they wouldn't be in office to begin with.
We can complain about the representives all we like but when are we going to start highlighting the same flawed thinking by the same everyday citizens that put these clowns in office?

The South is full of racists and jackasses, many of whom hold office, but it is still a wonderful place on its own. Yes, it's hard to integrate here or act normal sometimes (due to feeling like events are segregated, churches are segregated, etc...), but frankly I thrive on the challenge as much of a pain in the ass it is to me. There is a lot of good in the South that fights neck and neck with the bad - it's hard to pick.

One thing about the South, if someone is a racist, you pretty much know it off the bat - in the North it's much more subtle but every bit as insidious. You might not know who your friends are in the South because everyone is so freaking nice and hospitable, while backstabbing you the second you walk out the door, but you SURE as hell know who's a racist.

That is the part that shows the frame of mind being dealt with. Thus either hypocritical or deeply conflicted individuals are the end result.

You have some of these mofos still prattling on about the mighty Confederacy.

Newsflash, Lee surrendered at Appomatox on April 1865, 147 years ago. That Southern slave holding nation idea went up in smoke on that day, maybe they missed the little U in USA

The shit is over, the South lost and here I thought blacks had an axe to grind with slavery, some of these dudes still dreaming of the South rising again.

Talk about living in the past.
