Have you ever went to a psychic, had a tarot reading, or had your palm read?

I tend to be a cynic about these things, so I have never done it. But I don't think I'm smart enough to say there is nothing to it, so I tend to leave those things alone. Besides, if it is real, I would be afraid to find out something I don't want to know!! Ignorance is bliss. right? :smt036

 

If I could choose, I would know everything that was going to happen to be well prepared. As far as ignorance being bliss, many people abuse this as an excuse to never learn anything. I tend to be openminded.

 

I was really just being sarcastic...I do like to know things and I tend to not like surprises. Being well prepared is what I'm all about.

 

I have gone to several throughout the years. I've always tried to go to ones that were reputable. It's always interesting to see what they have to say and if said things come true (as far as how accurate they are).

Well, it depends. If you go to a psychic, I'm sure there are a lot who do, but if you to a Medium, you want to connect with the dead.

 

Sometimes I am lonely, but hate cats, they creep me out. I went twice for fun with a group. Both times they talked about family and finances far more so than love. However the love prediction was right and I did not even ask about it.

At the end, I asked if there were any spirits around me and she described my brother and grandfather, both who have passed on and both of whom I was very close to. The woman knew nothing about them.

One of my closest friends and her boyfriend had brought a set of tarot cards and were learning how to read them. She chucked them after they broke up as she believed they were bad karma.

 

I have too hard a time believing in that stuff. I've went before after my grandmother died and need some reassurance that she was ok and the lady got a shit ton correct but my big issue is if this stuff is real then why aren't people making money off this shit. Lotto numbers, conferring with Steve Jobs beyond the grave for the next IPhone idea? I just believe we are too selfish and self interested to not abuse something like this if it were really real. Maybe I'm too jaded.

 

Maybe they are LOL and are living a double life like Bruce Wayne :wink:

Readings can cover all types of info. It depends on what you ask. A lot of people will ask about relationships but not always. I used to have a regular that asked about nothing but her job all the time. She was married and never once asked about her husband.

Edgar Cayce who was a real clairvoyant said that anyone can develop the ability of clairvoyance but one of the first things you must do is give up selfishness. I believe what Edgar Cayce said but I do not get palm readings, because I do not know if real clairvoyant people give readings or not.

She probably refused because she needed you, in order to convince you she was psychic, to talk to her so she could work you out. Without talking to you, she probably couldn't figure out what kind of a person you are and what you wanted her to say. :smt102 JMO

 

That's a good point, never thought of it that way. We tried to tell her that we could still write and whatever (or type what we wanted to say on our phones), but nope. Not even an, "I'm sorry". More like GTFO.... so we laughed and had milkshakes instead of giving her the money, worked out alright for us in the end!

(Besides, she doesn't need to tell me there's someone tall, dark and handsome in the future, with my taste in men... I think I have that figured out )

 

My mum and a couple of her friends can read tarots and sybilles so I get them done one in a while. My mom also collect divination cards of any kind.
I also really love divination and have bought my cards but learnin needs a lot of time and constance that I don't have.

I have drawn some rune cards for my mum and I'm trying to get infos on how to publish them.

About the results, I must say they werent too real for the little things but the 2 loves of my life so far have been detected by the tarots before me

First time I was 17 and I was told that I would meet a guy, foreign, "dark" (she didn't knowanything about me and that I like black guys!) about 23 years old and other things and that happened.

Second time was last year when I was told by my mum's friend that doesn't really know anything about my personal life that She was seeing a man older than me, divorced with other kids and I was like "NO WAY" but yeah, that happened too, I already knew him online but I didn't like him that way but when we met it was love at first sight. LOL

The curious thing is that I also remembered about what they told me way after I actually met the person, so it's not that I was actually going to search for the prediction as I never take them seriously.
