Madonna, I love you and your music, however, do you not realize that what you represent in the muslim (especially radical) world is what they hate about the western world the most and if you lived there it could result in you being beheaded, stoned to death, or raped. Be careful of what you wish for, in the minds of millions they will take what you say out of contex. Imagine what your world will be like if they should ever take over.

 

Yup! And saw a few articles that some are starting to jump on Obama's back too about turning over the guy that made the video about muslims. It's not about simply living in a world of tolerance of other religions with them, its a about fulfilling a mission to eradicate any and all heathens (non-practioners of islam) in the name of allah. Or at the very least be criminally charged for any blaphemous talk (for those of us here in the west anyway).

Over here we run around with our watered down version of islam and power to the people fluff that it may give us, but I'd imagine some of them overseas would take offense at how we lightly take their religion as that of a buffet item or flavor of the month, when your more staunch types perceive that as a mockery of their religion instead.

 

1)They didn't just start getting on his back about this. They jumped on him from the beginning because that's all they do...lie in wait ready to pounce without waiting to get facts straight first.


2)Obama didn't turn him over. Obama condemned the video while at the same time stressing people still have the right of freedom of speech in this country despite how despicable their views may be.

3)The filmmaker was never arrested but was brought in for questioning in part because he was on parole and there was a question of whether he had broken any of the conditions that he was supposed to follow.

4)this scumbag filmmaker lied to his cast and crew about what the movie was about (now possibly putting their lives in a bit of jeopardy), lied about his name and lied about who had financed his film. He did this to start trouble. He succeeded. Of course it didn't hurt that he was dealing with some of the most overly sensitive, mental midgets in the world (radical, uninformed Muslims).

 

Madonna is a fierce and intelligent business woman. She worked (and still works) her ass off and that's why she's on top of the entertainment world and worth millions. She hasn't been on a "joyride/smorgasbord". What a moronic thing to say. Regardless of how you feel about her politics, sexuality, or her music, it doesn't change that fact. And, IMO, she deserves everything she has.

Oprah, jay-z and his misses, and Samuel L Jackson! They've all endorsed him and whether they did it on purpose (well Jackson most definitely did) as a way to use their star power or not, they are doing it based on celebrity status. Because if Madonna was a no name, this wouldn't be a thread.
