There's been a lot of buzz about the new 'toon -- based on the 2009 movie about an African-American action star in the '70s -- and Adult Swim will show a little sneak this Friday at Comic-Con. But before they premiere the full 11-minute pilot on Mon., Aug. 8 at AdultSwim.com, we've got the exclusive sneak peek at the first preview of the show.

The series follows Black Dynamite, an ex-CIA agent and certified ladies man avenging his brother's death by battling it out week to week with kung fu masters, drug-dealing pimps and his nemesis, The Man.

Carl Jones of 'The Boondocks' fame is running the show, with the stars of the movie -- including Michael Jai White, Tommy Davidson, Kym Whitley and Byron Minns -- returning to voice characters for the animated series.

Here's what else we know from the trailer, Black Dynamite is super cool and he knows kung fu; he drives a $5,000 car and wears a $100 suit; and when it comes to the ladies, he's out of sight. He's badder than Shaft, Superfly and The Mack put together. That sounds pretty bad to us, in a really good way.

Just watched it and all I gotta say is how many emmys are they gonna cheat this show out of because if it's "questionable" subject matter? smh

I give it a thumbs way-up and I can now say that we finally got something to replace our Boondocks fix.

As a matter of fact, I'm about to watch it again. Holla.

    The premiere was good.

I liked how they flipped the Michael Jackson story around and set it up for why he became the way he was later in life.

    The show has potential.

BET is owned by MTV, they are only interested in mindless "Beavis n Butthead" type shows.

BET had the animated Black Panther and did not continue it. They put the show on different crazy times causing it to get low ratings. Even today when they repeat them, they don't advertise and put the episodes on odd inconsistent hours.

I always wished the Cartoon Network would pick it up. My kids love the few Black Panther episodes they made.

and what do you do in this town called none of your goddamn business?
Black Panther was awesome even though it ripped on Americans. I like the ass kicking that the cap got.
