Seems like they are always looking for the next cult favorite show. FlashForward, Heroes, Fringe, Alcatraz, The River, Tera Nova etc. This one seems promising however, I just hope the don't blow their wad (creatively speaking) on the premise, and forget to lay the foundation for a lasting series.
Looks like an excellent show. I will be watching. These type of shows always make me wonder how long I would be able to survive under such circumstances.
I thought it was great - held my attention & had me wanting to see more. I'm very intrigued & dying to see what happens on the next episode.
Horrible. The most unrealistic thing of all was the idea that a government lacking its technology edge and possibly its overall manpower could strip Americans of their guns. That couldn't even happen now with a in a less chaotic America in which a full military still have its full compliment of weaponry and technology. And TPTB have in one episode made the "bad guys" look far from scary when they had the lead male character take out a platoon all by himself. Who can take the militia/military seriously after that? They are COBRA in a G.I. Joe cartoon. What a waste of Esposito's talents.
Definitely agree. Even the idea that all electricity stopped indefinitely makes no sense unless the earth itself became one giant emp and even then you still have guns.Speaking of guns why a damn musket? This was poorly thought out and could have been done far better
Yeah the concept and execution of the show is a bit weak. But the last three "cult show" wannabes that I had high hopes for (Lost, Heroes, SGU) all started good, but fizzled out quickly. So maybe this show will be the opposite. As for the science of it. The chubby nerdy guy said something about how the power going out is scientifically unexplainable. So the show itself is aware of how far-fetched the premise is.
The show starts like 15 years after the power goes out, so maybe there aren't any surplus ammo rounds left?? Thus the muskets?lol I think it's going to be revealed that some kind of cyber terrorist attack crashed the global electrical grid. Still not totally believable. And how did that Black woman at the end have 'internet' access in her basement on her PC??:smt103
SGU's second season is easily stronger than its first. And the last half of its first season was pretty good to. You should have stuck with it IMO.
