You hit that straight on Goodlove. Black conservatives love to go to a real plantation where they love to vote for people who oppress them with vigar. Oh yeah paying for ID to please them.

All I see are a few examples. Just cause there is one racist tea partier doesnt mean all of them are. In fact most are good people.

But thanks for showing some examples.;)

But of course that rule doesn't apply when it comes to "liberals" on any level in your book does it?

Mormons, Christians, Jews, Hindus, Muslims etc... They all have racist pasts. I realize that regardless of the race of anyone running for office, they are more than likely going to believe in some god. And that normally means there is some sort of racist skeletons in the closet (for the religion that is). So, I don't really see a difference. But, then again, I don't believe in gods or unicorns for that matter.

And other religions aren't guilty of this? Also, as I mentioned before many of the larger religions have a racist past. So, how is Mormonism any different?

Larger religions didn't consider black people to have damned souls up until as recent as the 70s

The Curse of Ham (which was used as an excuse for slavery) is still taught in various yeshivahs as well as by the satmar, chabad, and various other orthodox groups. There are plenty of racist christian groups that use their interpretation of their bible to say bad things about people of all races. There are still many racists hadiths in islam...the list kind of goes on man. That's just religion for you bro. Ultimately, my concern is on the candidate and not the religion, because simply put, I doubt there will be an athiest president and considering that they (Obama and Romney) both believe in god they are quite similar in my eyes. And quite frankly, Romney may not do as much for the black community and Obama may not either. I will say that I am rather tired of Obama using Father's Day to work through his daddy issues.

Judaism has racist aspects and downright offensive ones (Take a look at the talmud), Christianity is based in the prophecies of Judaism (granted it doesn't quite work with malacai) which ultimately puts it in the same boat if you factor in it's history (Look at the crusades as well as many other christians that pushed their religion by force and those who didn't follow were considered cursed and were killed). And, of course there are many racist Hadiths in Islam, not to mention certain words that mean slaves... (I'll let you look that one up), Then we can venture down to the realm of Hinduism (Even Ghandi had issues with Africans) and their caste system. If you have issues with Romney I can respect that. But, lets not pretend that racism isn't in a large portion of history pertaining to those religions.

I guess the saying is true, "A cult is the other guy's religion"

I would like to add... As far as mormons go. They changed their opinion on blacks in the 1970s. Two of their "higher ups" had a dream that blacks should be permitted. Ironically, this was the day before they were about to lose their Tax Exempt status due to their racist views... I guess "God Is Good", how gracious of the magical man in the sky to bless them with such visions...

With Mormons it seems to be purely religious and with other religious sects it seems to be more about economics and plunder. Religion is just the excuse not the true cause.

how so? Their opinion of cursed blacks is a direct reflection of their influence by the jewish talmud. However, the idea of blacks being cursed came a little bit later, because the indians (native americans) where the first. This was due to their issues with them at the time. Similar to the Hamitic Curse in the talmud and how it reflected Jewish dislike towards the dark skin Turks. We could go on and on, but the only difference between these religions that have racist texts and beliefs is that some are more recent than others.

No the actual practice is what makes it different. Christians didn't subject Africans to slavery or even the Indians as a matter of biblical right. It may have come later but it was completely economic in the beginning.
