I have to give it to the Latinos, they appear to have their shit together in gathering the momentum to propel themselves ahead in the political and economic sectors of our nation. I believe they will be the reliable votes Obama need to secure the election in November. When that happens the new kid on the block should be rewarded by Obama with perhaps more positions within the Democratic Party to increase their own chances to move forward a candidate of their choice for the 2016 election, the first hispanic President of the United States. Perhaps Mayor Castro of San Antonio, Texas. Latino power will replace black power for the Democratic Party in the decades ahead as their political power increases.

It also helps that they breed like rabbits.

Seriously I was at this mall the other day and saw a number of Mexican families with like 5 or 6 kids each.

Same use to be said about us blacks. Seriously, while whites and blacks today diminish their numbers through abortions, the hispanics believe in the perpetuation of life.

It is not only the Blacks who helped elect Obama it is also the Latinos. Only one part of the Latino community likes Romney:The Cubans.

While it may come across as that Tarshi, within the black community it is an appalling reality.

I know a young girl who has had 5, I repeat 5 abortions starting when she was about 16.

Its a pink elephant in the room that people don't like to talk about.

The irony of this is I believe in a woman's right to choose, but the statement Blacktiger made also has some merit.

Its one of the reasons the black population in America has barely grown and been surpassed by the Hispanic population.

As someone else said people say the same thing about blacks and I hear the same thing about mixed race families. I have 6 children BTW.

Women, Blacks, Latino's, Young people, Jewish people, Asian, Arabs, native Americas, etc put together with a few white males got him the vote. The majority of all those groups of people are democrats.

Alright, I was going to keep my trap shut, but I just can't help it. So here goes...

The entire developing world has increasing birthrates. The developed world generally has a declining birthrate, with the exception of immigrants from the developing world and the lower economic classes. As the Latino community gets increasingly acculturated to US culture, expect birthrates to decline somewhat and begin to resemble those of other native-born populations. These birthrates that have been so generously described as "breeding like rabbits" are mostly seen among Mexican immigrants (and others) to the US from rural, agricultural communities in Mexico. You do not seem the same traits among the urbanized elite in Latin America or anywhere else in the developing world.

GQ Brotha, you make good points, but it has been my experience that the the elite black leadership does not give a damn about this issue. They do not care so long as they get theirs. The S.O.B's. The black church has become irrelevant on this issue as well. IMAO
