this is the text messages between my mom and I this morning. for context, there have been a few times since my sis has been here that she got made at me for my offensive/aggressive driving. its not my fault people in LA cant drive and i don't like waiting behind the slow drivers.

Mommy: Sha*** missed her flight, shes trying to get booked on another delta flight. Are you at lunch?
    Me: i work through lunch.
    Mommy: Ah ok np
Me: traffic was bad? is that how she missed it?
Mommy: She said this was the first time she wished you were driving. She said she would have made it if you were driving
    Me: hahahahahaha!!!
Mommy: Her friend eas late picking her up and he drove slow. I tried to get her to ride in with me but she would have to get ther at 8:30 and wait til 12:30. Sh
Mommy: e didn't want to wait that long in the airport
Mommy: She was in tears. I calmed her down
    Me: AWWWWWWW
Mommy: Yeah i didn't want to tell you that part
Me: and she wished her big brother would have drove her... sooo sweet!
Mommy: Yeah she said that through her snot and tears so she meant it
Me: awwwww! now you make me feel good and sad at the same time. i wish i couldve drove her

its the little things like this that let me know she loves me, even though she doesn't want me to meet her female friends.

Can't rep, you but good one. I would be offended if I was a dude that some chick I was banging referred to me as Rastaman, even if I did so myself.

She has a clear agenda. She dehumanizes bm with almost every post. We're objects but she gets a passs because her promoscuity is some how liberating lol

Exactly. She race baits on a regular basis but apparently he/she is smart enough to stay away from the less popular ways of starting shit. Praising the black form with little undertones of sexual objectification. Downing white men. She's either really smart or the posters are really dumb.

Agreed. It seems like she feels that black men, particularly those from the Caribbean are her personal playthings. I know that I am very sensitive to her rants about how she is the cat's meow right now, as I am mid break-up with a man I have been with for 2 years. Her attitude about going to the Worldfest thingy is that all blackmen are the same and are like tinkertoys with interchangeable parts, particularly when she talks about baiting one. I can't even think about going to coffee with a nice black man because it is not fair when my head is not ready to know someone for who they are. And I don't give a crap if I can slammed, but in my opinion any white woman who dates a black man needs know they are a PERSON first and should be attracted to the person first.

In terms of the promocuity part, any grown up realizes that despite the temptation the best way to get over someone is not to get under someone else.

What do YOU think the definition of Rastaman is? It must have several because I never heard it in a negative way.

I know you have jumped in the back of TDK's truck and get negative on SA and a lot she is full of shit and bragging, but many other times she is not.

There must be some confusion on definition or more than one.

Was about to ask the same q, because I have never heard the term rastaman or Rastafarian deemed racist or derogatory.

I have friends deeply entrenched in the culture and I worked at a Reggae club for years and I can honesty say this is the first time I've heard anyone taking offense to the word.

Its not the word as much as the way she uses it. She makes dude sound like an object, if he exists at all, its really strange to me that very few pick up on her bs

Is there a Rastaman in the house cus only a Rastaman will be able to tell if what SA is saying is offensive, everybody else can just conjecture.

Most couples have pet names. Things you would never say in front of others or to others. Things others would not understand. It's part of going to another level with another human being. You communicate and allow things with them that makes it ok.
