The spending levels increased in 2007-2008 when Dems took over the house and senate while Bush was still in office. When Obama became President the Dems had control of all three offices for the first two years of his presidency. So spare me "the Republicans did it" excuse. Republicans can take responsibility for not raising taxes in Bush's second term and keeping interest rates too low. But the majority of spending rests with the Dems. Until you start to acknowledge your faults this will never be an honest debate. Most of you are content to have Obama as some savior who can do no wrong.

The argument about GOP adding low wage jobs is actually reversed. Those are the only jobs that have been added in the past 12 months under Obama. If you look at the labor force participation rate it is double unemployment. So millions are looking for jobs and there are millions who have said "fuck it" and stopped looking for jobs because the economy is so bad.

'Our Best Hope Is That Romney Has A Secret Plan'

"Unfortunately, while Romney’s plan has an admirable quantity of detail, it does not contain all the right details. Many of the ideas in Romney’s plan, from tax reform to free trade to revamping job training, are good. But they would also have been good ideas in 2007. What Romney’s plan lacks are ideas that relate to the housing bubble and the prolonged economic crisis that it sparked. Amazingly, none of Romney’s 59 economic proposals addresses housing policy or monetary policy."

    In EXTREMELY poor taste?

The chik-FIL-a thing is pure prejudice toward a whole people (that's right, people) based on WHO THEY SLEEP with.

And not just that, but the only reason it is wrong is because it isn't the SAME sex that the people who hate them sleep with.

If I hated u because bc all you ever ate was toast for breakfast while I liked eggs...that's a stupid ass reason to hate a person and everything they stand for.

If one man wants to have buttsmechs with another man, how is that in anyway anyone else's business?

And to protest it by eating fried chicken?
Maybe we will get lucky and all those ignorant people will just keep over bc of myocardial infarction.

And then to joke about it?

I'm sure GLTB community doesn't find it funny at all. Denied a fundamental right based on someone else's definition of right and wrong.

As a black man, whose family was subjected to the same type of hate, you should be offended by Cathy's stance on a whole people.

Good ol' Lyin' Ryan. Preaches personal responsibility and government's in your way, then segues into 'Its all Obama's fault.'

Ben Stein: Romney's a 'losing candidate'

"[Romney] has all around him the look of a losing candidate,"

"Mr. Romney does not have a plan to turn things around. All he's saying, and correctly so, is that Mr. Obama said he had a plan that would work and it didn't," Stein said. "But does Mr. Romney have a better plan? If he does, we haven't seen it."

The former speechwriter for Presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford went on to say he's not satisfied with Paul Ryan's approach to taxes.

"He has bought into what I think is a bit of nonsense about supply-side economics. He has bought into the idea that by cutting taxes, you automatically spur the economy. That would be wonderful if true, and it may be true, but there's no data that it's true,” he said. "And it certainly isn't true that by cutting taxes you spur the economy enough so you make up the lost tax revenue."

Careful don't sleep. Everyone thought the actor Ronald Reagan would be a joke and he won by a landslide.

My biggest fear right now is that too many Dems will be complacent thinking Obama has this thing won and won't vote. His supporters have to be vigilant.

U sure that's not the first and third?

He could possibly be all three, but after how he reacted to that one thread "Message to White Men" that was posted, I'll put money on the second and third. If he is indeed a black male then he's one who very clearly wishes he were a white male, because he responded to that thread like it was personally offensive and speaking directly to him. He doesn't get that offended and outraged when negative things are directed towards black males, so I don't get how something that wasn't even said in a negative way and by a white male at that, about white males could so offend a black male....:smt017

Why is he "White"? (and why is that said as if it's a such a horrid thing to be - a White person).

It's baffling to me that because he doesn't think the way you or another does, he's automatically ANOTHER 'race'. When a woman speaks against her sex, is she a man? A male speaking against the misdeeds of another male - is he really a female?
When certain white member here go on and on ad-nauseaum about how dastardly White people are, are they really Black? I think not.

So what are the 'rules' here...is a White person allowed to be offended by what a Black person does or says negatively about another Black person, or no?
By the same token, is a Black person allowed to be offended by a what a White person does or says negatively about another White person? Or is that a no, too?

Please re-read what I posted. I clearly stated that based strictly on his reactions and responces in the "Message To White Men" thread I Think he's White and also that if he is indeed Black he's clearly got issue with being Black. Simply my opinion. So I guess I'm not allow to express my negative opinion of another Black Man, but he can of Black Men & People in general on multiple levels such as he does?

It's not because of the way he thinks its because of the way he expresses himself and like I've said his continuous outspoken disdain about the entire black race. Never speaking about solutions but always pointing out the short comings at every single possible opportunity. Like I said about him and Paniro in reference to Treyvon Martin, the poor kid couldn't be a victim for even a minute it had to turn into "why care about this when there is so much black on black crime" which is a notorious right wing talking point also parallel to "there's black on white crime why don't we talk about that"
You're over simplifying his actions far too much Bliss.

I don't get why some of the women posters can't see this. There is a clear hatred or self hatred there. Its like being a woman and every chance you get talking about how other women need to follow your example because you're so great and they're all so pathetic. Not to mention his hyper focus and vigilance on the criminal element that makes up less than 10% of the entire group. That's usually a racist pov.
