New TV Show: The Mindy Kaling Project

New show on Fox, starring Mindy Kaling (the Office) It wants to be the next New Girl, but Mindy Kaling isn't as cute and likable as Zooey Deschanel. The pilot was kind of hit and miss but New Girl didn't hit it's stride until about 4 episodes in, so i'll give it a chance.

The funny thing is that Mindy Kaling (Indian-American) Is the creator, writer, and producer of the show, and yet she is still the token minority! Stay classy Hollywood!

Yeah I caught this. Weird how there is no non white male love interest in this and shes the writer and creator.

 

Zooey Deschanel is a bit funny looking.

As for this show? Another cookie-cutter sitcom.

I think Indians are least likely to do IR with any other race. Just my experience.

 

Whatever. Indian chicks are like, 'meh'. A few are down, but the majority are stand offish when it comes to BM.

It's just odd because when I see this chick on her sitcom, she almost looks Black to me mainly because of her complexion.

They gave the Asian actress on Grey's Anatomy a BM as her significant other, many times these kinds of decisions come down to the producer and since Mindy is wearing all the hats, she's not having that.lol

 

I don't see why we have to worry about some low rent actress chasing after white guys since there ARE Indian women out there who are open to dating black guys.

 

Discussions of that nature usually crop up from curiosity and questioning for the most part. Otherwise, this wouldn't be a thread to begin with, now would it?

But, it's really what you'd expect from this whole debacle.

True, but the one's who are better assimilated like the one who runs this show are going be with white people if they step outside of their race. Not that it matters, Freddy pays Indian broads no mind.

Don't see what's surprising about the cast of this show. White actors are most likely to be cast as the love interest of any female character these days regardless of the female's race.

 

So true. Scandal is a disappointment for that one. I know one Indian xhick who dated my boy in hs but of course dude was on the top 50 list of hs footbapl players so no surprise therw lol. But I do have to say other race's color hang ups is the main reason why Ive usually dated black and white women.
