I hate calling out individuals by name but I'll say The Dark Knight. He is a huge Obama homer. There are others on here as well but I'll just leave it at that.

Hard to tell if you were being sarcastic since your reading comprehension and tactless posts tend to unwind in a very poor fashion.

TDK? The man you love to go out of your way to paint as any and everything fucked up any chance you get, huh? That's your big proof. Pathetic. Just like every damn opinion and argument you put up. You gave this bullshit reply about speaking your mind when asked why you like posting on this site, say all kinds of out of touch with reality shit, even go out of your way to insult others at the drop of a hat and when pressed on something you claim is so obvious this is all that you have? This cop out answer? Give the other names or be branded as full of shit and having no credibility.

You act like Obama isn't part of the 1% and hasn't benefited as well. He has some so tricked, I swear, lol. Obama is a multimillionaire pretending to be just like the common man. You realize too that Obama has PLENTY of poor people who plan on voting for him also.

You have been quite the voice of reason in all of the politically motivated threads, and you're doing it without calling people names and otherwise being nasty. I commend you for these posts!

I agree. For every Republican 1% taking advantage of tax breaks, there is a Democratic 1% taking advantage of the same tax breaks.

Let's call a spade a spade on that issue.

Obama is worth about 11 million while Romney is worth about 250 million. Obama is living well, but there is a huge difference. What do you consider rich, where does the line begin? I would say bout 25 million, but the top 1% are worth much more.

True they can all stand to take advantage of the same tax breaks, but not just anyone can run for president, you must have some background of success if you plan on winning.

His wealth is in the millions of dollars and is only going to increase when he leaves office. He's a 1%.

Actually, any natural born citizen over the age of 35 can run for President. It doesn't mean he/she will be elected however.

On a side note, I was looking up the wealth of one of our former Presidents and came across this little gem of a website. I had no idea some of the earlier Presidents were that rich:

Of course, these aren't hard figures for most of them, but it's still interesting to read through.

Really. I had no idea that in 2010 dollars, George Washington would have been worth over $500 million.

Or that Truman was worth less than a million.

How do you know, please post citations which illustrate what you say about tax breaks. And how do you that out of the whole top 1% of the country that half of that 1% is Democrats and the other half is Republicans? That's a pretty bold confirmation you're trying to make and I find that analysis hard to swallow.

Maybe so, but please look at the more important picture. It's not exclusively about Obama.

First of all I was responding to Bliss about a point she made, secondly I am a moderate. I am not going to get bent out of shape just because you chose to be crass, you don't even know who you are talking too. :butthead:

Thank you Bookie! That is quite the compliment coming from you. :D

The truth is, you are consistently the reasonable and non-insulting voice on this WHOLE forum.

Yeah, and when he leaves office he may just vote for a republican, but that has little to do with the tax policy he favors now. Why run for president if you cannot win?? that was my point. sometimes I wonder if people try to understand a post before they respond to it.

:butthead: I guess you believe that everyone should have their minds made up prior to every election, before the issues are even discussed.
