He's playing a villain so that probably won't upset them as much.

If I recall correctly Algrim aka Kurse later became an ally to Thor and Asgard after he killed Malekith the Dark Elf. Who knows that may be what happen towards the end in the upcoming movie since Malekith is the main villain.

Silent Hill 3 Final Boss: God

The Silent Hill series took a different approach to scaring the audience through its psychological horror aspects and give you a feeling of uneasiness that...there's no place safe for everything lacks a haven. I could go on with the history of the series, but you're more than welcomed to look into it yourselves.

This is the first Silent Hill game I bought and the sole reason why is because I wanted to see what the final boss looks like. Back then when there wasn't a YouTube or people uploading playthroughs or even having images depicting the enemies and bosses, I relied on the walkthroughs and scrounged around the net to see what this boss looks like. All of the other bosses were shown in the magazines and internet, yet this one never appeared.

Now that I've experienced the game (years ago) and finally saw what God looks like, you can put two and two together on my impression of the boss. The video is here and it's well-worth watching if you're interesting in horror.

Well, he is playing a 'Dark Elf' (pun intended), so perhaps they won't care.

I'm starting to think the studio seriously had the same thing in mind with this casting. Cast a black guy as a "Dark Elf" and the simple minded people should not have a problem with it because Dark Elves in most fantasy takes (books & games primarily) have dark skin in some form or another even though most have Caucasian features.

Right, that's the way you get around the criticism, especially with the heightened sensitivities this year.

The Hardest Ultimate Boss in RPG History

Many of us have played the likes of Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and other well known role-playing games. With JRPGs in particular, we are usually treated to added replay value in the form of optional quests, notably optional boss fights. They tend to be much more difficult than the story bosses and only adds a layer of challenge. But you wonder...which is the hardest optional or ultimate boss in RPG history? Well the answer is...

    Demi-Fiend aka Hitoshura

The Shin Megami Tensei games are one of those underrated or overlooked gems that started on the SNES, but gained a wider audience in the vein of the PS2. Not only it was one of the few M-rated JRPGs localized, it also did away with the stereotypical medieval/steampunk setting in favor or a post-modern world and demonology which spans to Abrahamic, Hindu, Norse, and Egyptian mythos. The Digital Devil Saga games were a gem of their own, followed by Nocturne. But anyway, if you want an idea on how difficult this boss is...then do be so kind to watch all six parts.

    What makes this boss difficult?
    - Unlike a lot of games where you could power level your way through any boss, you seemingly cannot "cheat" your way out of this battle. The MegaTen games tends to make any boss battle challenging and expect you to win through proper strategy and patience. The game doesn't cheat you at all, so if you want to win, then be sure to take your time against this boss.

Is there a proper strategy aside from the video?
    - There is a Red Star strategy which would make the battle slightly easier, but don't expect to win at a faster pace because one mess up could lead you and your party to ruin.

Is this a good game to try?
    - If you still like JRPGs and are looking for a solid challenge which is kept fresh with the pacing and gameplay, then it would be wise to try out Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2 and also Nocturne.

Dragon Quest VII Optional Boss: God

The Lord Almighty, the Holiest of Holy, The One, The Father, The God.

This is an optional boss fight in the popular RPG series, and like many, they are difficult without the right strategy implemented. It starts off with a comical introduction interaction between the party members and God. Enjoy.

    --mini spoiler ahead--

A SHIELD series kind of paints them into a corner. They want it in the same world as the movies, but they won't get Sam Jackson, Cobie Smulders, or Clark Gregg. So unless they recast the roles for TV and/or resurrect Agent Coulson. I don't see how it will work.

Although they could pull a page from the Ultimates comics. In that series SHIELD had a B-team of heroes, who did more Black-Ops type missions. They could showcase some of the lesser known heroes like Luke Cage, Moon Knight, Spider Woman, or Giant-Man.

    well that was a given

rarely if ever, do you see a TV series get A-list actors who played characters in the films. If it's a big budget show like The Unit or Fringe, I can see lots of special effects and production value tho. With all the money coming in from the Marvel films, they should be able to give us what other superhero shows failed to do.

as for the B-team of heroes, you could be right on that. They probably don't want to mess with the current franchise of heroes, by having other people play them. Face it, people don't see the movies for Sam Jackson cameos. They want to see Robert as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, and so forth.

They can do SHIELD easily without any of the characters from the movie. Play it up like the old school comic days where SHIELD is an international organization and have characters/agents from different countries like the Countess de la Fontaine or Jimmy Woo (although he's Asian American whether than straight from Asia). And as you said if they use super heroes for the series go with lesser known characters. I doubt they would use Luke Cage since he's one of those characters they have on the list to possibly star in his own solo movie, but yeah Moon Knight, Spider-Woman, Paladin, Black Knight,Mockingbird and that Daisy Johnson/Quake character that was shown on the Avengers cartoon working with Nick Fury would be a few good picks.

This reminds of when I went to see Avengers. After the the bonus scene, people where starting to get up to leave. And this tall white guy stands up and was looking around. He sees me, and I guess I look "nerdy" because he asks, (kind of loudly) "Hey, do you know who that purple guy is supposed to be?" About 4 or 5 other people look at me as if they were also waiting for an answer. I tapped into my vast pool of useless nerd knowledge and gave a brief character bio. It felt good to educate the public. :D

Same thing happened to me at work when the Avengers was out. Because I'm the cool nerdy guy in the office, people who saw the Avengers were coming to me wanting to know who that purple alien was in the end credits because they heard other obvious comic fans in the theater geeking out about him when they saw it.
