All these recent stories of women sexual predators, remind me of that old joke, about the Black guy going into a store and the security is so worried that he is going to steal something that they follow his every movement. Meanwhile a white guy is robbing them blind the whole time.

Our society has always been conditioned to "keep an eye" on male teachers/coaches and authority figures. As a result we have turned a blind-eye to females in charge of our kids. It makes me wonder how many females have gotten away with this before we started paying attention?

 

Read this yesterday. They never showed the images of the students in any of the news outlets, but I could tell you that when the video ran, I heard one of the students saying "She did nothing wrong", his voice was deep and black sounding. Hence, I knew she was having a little swirl.

And we can't see the footage? FUCK!

 

Do you mean the footage of the trial or the footage of the sex party? Because, technically the sex footage would be underage porn, so I don't think anyone outside of the courtroom will be seeing that.

 

It's not underage porn if all of the people in question are eighteen years of age. That's just barely legal.

 

This just looks like a breach in ethics, just fire her and send her home. 20 years in jail and a 40,000 fine seems harsh considering the fact that all of the students were at least 18. The media has made sure she will never teach again, sounds like enough punishment to me.

Oh my mistake, I stopped looking at the video before they said that thy weren't minors. But that begs the question why this is even a crime?

 

It's not. They are arresting her on the charges of "having inappropriate sexual relations with students," which is a relatively "new crime" that I'm wrapping my head around. Beasty pretty much had it right.

 

I wholeheartedly agree. I think her significant other and children are most affected by it and that's a stain in the family that will reap nothing but problems.

I would. I don't see why it should ever be a crime for consenting adults to have sex. She failed to abide by the rules of her job. IMO she should be punished for that from the school not the courts. Fine her, Fire hire, take her license.
