As a "tax" or penalty with a small loophole where you don't have to pay it.

Regulatory concessions from state-to-state and their individual laws. Red tape before final approval. Even conservatives in those states like in Nebraska would agree to that.

Plus, it wouldn't produce a lot of jobs like people would imagine. Contradicts independent analysts.

 

Only to screw the middle and poor class. So reward the wealthy for being wealthy? How about the actual job creators (small businesses) and give them incentives? That's more plausible.

I remember being totally put off when Alan Grayson called Republicans "knuckle-draggers" on the House floor. I was absolutely disgusted by that. But now that people are calling Paul Ryan the "zombie-eyed granny-starver" - I dunno, sounds kinda fitting.

 

Here's your cookie for correcting my spelling, since that seems to be another stick up the conservative set's assses: Always being right and winning things.

 

Conservative talking points, by that very nature are very deluded and away from reality. The ideas are generally contradictory.

When talking social issues, they often prefer to restrict the individual rights for one group (gay rights, women's health, etc...), but extend others for some (gun laws and teaching pseudoscience in science classrooms).

Plenty of dishonesty and skewered thoughts coming from people who are supposed American patriots.

I have to say that Obama really won my vote 4 years ago.

But now, I'm honestly not sure who I'm going to vote for. Obama impressed me more on the campaign trail 4 years ago than he has since he's been in office.

 

Yet outsourcing is the highest its ever been and corporations are making record profits but would rather sit on the money or invest in countries like China, Brazil, and India.

He didn't impress me at all four years ago. I didn't go for any of that hopey-changey stuff. I planned on voting for McCain, actually, until his campaign imploded in the spring of 07', and he came back spewing a bunch of neo-conservative nonsense, reneging on everything from torture to tax cuts. His VP choice was the nail in the coffin. I was so disaffected I didn't vote. But now I'm definitely voting for Obama. Romney-Ryan is a scaaaary ass ticket.

 

I really don't see a big difference in our country in the last four years. I know that what he came into absolutely worked against him, but aside from Osama bin Laden, I can't think of much that he's accomplished. Employment has been on a yo-yo track for the last 4 years, it goes up and then goes down and then goes up.

Other things I can't really put my finger on...I'm just not impressed. The way the BP oil spill was handled irked me, too.

And I never said I thought Romney was the better candidate. I'm just not happy with Obama's performance.

Truth is, I have a lot of research to do on both candidates before I make my final decision.

Obama, for me, represented fresh blood. He was young, too optimistic, but he seemed to be in tune with the country.

I loved John McCain and was upset he didn't win the primary in 2000, but by the time 2008 rolled around, he was too old and too out of touch with what was happening in the country. For him to say the economy was fine and then the very next day it collapsed, showed how out of touch he really was. And don't get me started on Palin. He made a grave misstep with picking Palin as his running mate.

I didn't buy everything hook, line, and sinker that Obama was selling 4 years ago (I'll have us out of Iraq and Afghanistan in a year! Yeah, okay), but I really thought he was the better choice at the time.

 

Also, the debates really help me feel out the candidates...

 

Yes. They do help in that regard. It should be very interesting this go around. Both presidential and vice presidential debates.

 

Millions of jobs have been added and he saved the auto industry in the US and he got insurance companies to take people with pre exisiting conditions.
He's done a pretty great job so far. I think you might be making it more personal than actually looking at the whole picture.
