Still bitter toward the teachers in the 1970s who saw my left-handedness as a problem that needed fixing. I could be a lefty today if it weren't for their hamfisted intervention. I was lucky enough to preserve left-handed guitar and pool-playing, however. Congrats to all you lefties out there!

Hmmm I too remember those days. They allowed me to write left handed, but I cut, throw and do most other things as a righty.

My ex is also a lefty, and our daughter is as well

My Mom would have been a lefty if the Catholic elementary school she went to didn't force her to be right-handed.

I'm right-handed naturally, but I can also write lefty and I naturally do other things lefty: swinging a bat, playing (mini-)golf.

    I'm somewhat ambidextrous. :smt023

I was wondering how a couple of people were doing. Christine, tree pixie, & JCC. Just thought I'd mention them.

My brother was the same way. My grandmother used to take spoons/utenisls out of his left hand and put them in the right. My sister and I were supposed to put them back in his left, per my annoyed mom's instructions. He is a lefty though, so she didn't change him.

I used to feel weird playing the guitar as a kid until I saw a pic of Jimi Hendrix and Yomo Toro, and that was that. :smt020

    Terrible.

They should have never done that.

At least you still preserved some of the lefty-use.

I used to get jealous of all the other kids that were right-handed. Everything is made for right-hand people.

Hmmm, do you see him as a friend? What's your relationship with him for the most part?

If the relationship aren't on a friendly level, then don't bother.

If you aren't feeling him like that, then don't let him feel lead on. Tell him you're not interested, he might feel he has a chance if you just go

    Ok....so...

We dated years ago and we are friends now. I think I'm hesitant because we are grown now and so much time has passed. I think of him more as a friend now... however, I have no reason not to go either.

I think part of the reason is because I don't want to lead him to believe there's more, or he goes in wanting more and I end up not feeling him.
